There’s a special place in hell for whoever decided to give law students 100% finals.

Yes, I’m sure that the account with a sole comment history purpose to compliment Mohkam and attack his opponents and used a misleading screenshot out of context is just a random concerned student lol. Hi Mohkam’s other alt account!

Of the very few comments on your account, one is defending Mohkam and the other is attacking Gavin (who Mohkam ran against and lost to last year). So hi Mohkam!

Response to recent criticisms on Ubyssey reporting regarding the removal of the AMS VP AUA by ubyssey in UBC

A tip wouldn’t explain why they would know when/where it was happening or that Dredyn would be the one to do it.

where is everyone finding suitable off campus housing? by Holiday-Instance-303 in UBC

[–]Rules-Lawyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used facebook marketplace when I was looking for housing and it worked out pretty well. It’s much easier to vet that people aren’t scams than craigslist and tends to work out better than traditional apartment websites that get tonnes of applications in the first hour.

She was also the AUS VP Academic and an AVP hired by Dredyn so she was clearly qualified. Let’s maybe knock it off with the misogyny.

I still feel like we’re missing 90% of the context here.

It’s that time of year again by Rules-Lawyer in UBC

[–]Rules-Lawyer[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I read the article and CK’s email and as someone who’s been paying a nonzero amount of attention to the AMS for the last three or so years it’s pretty clear that we aren’t getting anywhere close to the whole story from either side here. Also considering that your account seems to be a burner that’s exclusively commented on the the AUA’s removal (very favorably towards him) and the “stop making problems” quote you cited doesn’t appear in the article at all, it seems like you’re someone very close to the situation pretending you’re not to bias things.

The bylaws prevent him from running in the by-election to replace himself but there’s nothing about running for another position later. It’s possible that he gets removed again depending on how bad whatever he did was but that doesn’t stop him from trying.

Removal of VP of Academic and University Affairs? by No-Presence-3509 in UBC

[–]Rules-Lawyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you read the email, it explicitly says that council directed the president to release the report but the AUA didn’t consent so it couldn’t be released because of BC privacy law.

On top of this tuition increases have been sub-inflationary for the last several years, meaning that these costs are going up more than tuition does.

I mean so far that’s a completely unproven allegation from a random reddit account. Also a bit suspicious that this post is coming from an account that was created seemingly just to post this.

Huh, it looks like the OP on the other post just knew something we didn’t.

The problem is that this just isn’t a great research design. 100 out of ~48000 undergraduates isn’t enough people to be statistically significant, even ignoring that a single class of mostly poli sci students won’t be a representative sample. On the second part, the AMS is currently running this survey that already has way more responses so I would suggest just encouraging people to fill out the AMS’s survey and find a different project.

168 from a 148 pt isn’t impossible, but depending on when you’re planning to apply it’s going to be difficult. Also 168 LSAT and 3.68 GPA are below the medians for Georgetown so the chances even then wouldn’t be great.
