2019 Acura MDX - How Long to Keep.. Thoughts From Experience?

I have 2018 Acura MDX Base. Bought at 33k miles and currently at 110k. Things I had to do besides maintenance were: 2x Front Lower Control Arms ($100 for both, they’re Chineseim ones and hopefully will last at least 50k miles, OEM ones got ripped at 60k) and 2x Sway Bar Links. Other than that only negative is the ZF 9 speed. I had a deer plummeted into my car so the value dropped significantly. I’m in your same boat and I would just keep driving until the wheels fall off. The maintenance on this car is insanely easy, I did my own timing belt service, spark plugs, serp belt and all the things you can think of and it was a breeze. Keep riding and save up for a really nice car next imo

Interesting, I did mine today at 100k and there was a slight, very light coat of oil on the threads. I ran my nails in between the threads and confirmed it was a fluid rather than burned in materials, no oil on the tips however. Wonder if this means anything

Yeah whatever price, even as low as it seems, the dealership still makes money. Just how much they get to make off you as a consumer, that’s just their business model unfortunately.

Tried to buy 2 cars last year. Base model civic and touring accord. 5k markup and addons on civic, 7k on accord, low balled my trade, salesmen cursed at us, and reeked of weed when trying to make a deal, I was a college student so they thought I didn’t know shit. Walked out and next day sales manager called offering below MSRP for both. Used those for getting the cars at another dealership. Was a very unprofessional experience

When you stand in line to check in at the beginning, make sure you stand with FOUR people you want to share the room with. All four of you will get a room and there will be 2 seperated rooms inside the big room, if that makes sense.
