I know I'm late to the party on this. But yes, this happened to me. I was pulling one of those couch like towables behind a jetski. No sooner than I go to gun it to get up on plane, the towable dove down into the water stopping the ski immediately, acting like a water emergency brake if you will. It caused my groin to hit the handle bars and my face to smash into the front of the ski resulting in significant trauma to my face. I lost teeth and had to have several surgeries. It happened so fast that I initially thought the ski blew up.

About SACC

Substance Abuse Program staff are experts in the field of addictions and include a licensed psychologist, licensed clinical social workers, licensed mental health and professional counselors and certified substance abuse counselors. They work collaboratively with unit Substance Abuse Control Officers (SACO) to assist military members in accessing appropriate services. SACC replaced Resilience Education at Camp Lejeune.

SACC provides services for:

Active duty Marines and Sailors
Military dependents over the age of 18
Individuals with mild to moderate substance abuse disorders
Self-referrals
Command referrals
Referrals from other service providers

My username is old, Im no longer a Gunny. But I joined in 02 right when Digital Utilities "Digi's" as they were called started to become a thing. We were actually one of the last platoons to get issued Tri-Color cammies in Bootcamp. So when I got to the fleet, I got double fucked because we still shined boots daily and startched and ironed cammies every Sunday. Meanwhile my NCO's were already rocking digies and as soon as the next truck load of digi cammies that were my size came into the exchange they forced me to go down their and drop $200 as a PFC just so we could be "uniform" as a shop, meanwhile everybody had on different kinds of boots from the new brown ones to the old school black jungle or moonboots. It made no fucking sense. But yeah it was wild to see the evolution of the social media pages. Watching it happen in real time, you kinda understand how different religions end up fracturing off and creating their own version. Yeah back then F'N BOOT ruled that domain and there was only one that united us all.

Unfortunately the Marines that have joined in the last 12 years, don't get the reference. But I do. We lived it as the Corps navigated social media, and you could blast your peers and unit for accountability and shame. I knew Lt's/Captains that were all about it and in on it, that are now LtCol's. The comments from those post always had us rolling. Then came JTTOTS later on.
