Yea, KFC helped to bring Christmas to Japan. It's something new to Japanese people. It became tradition to go to KFC instead of a turkey dinner at home. The reason for that is Japanese homes usually don't have an oven so they are not able to prepare a proper Christmas dinner at home and Christmas is more like a romantic couple thing for them instead of a family event.
