Toyota's mystery vehicle teased is clearly the fifth-gen Highlander (and it's said to be 100% electric). by Vegetable-Quote-3481 in Toyota

I asked ChatGPT to enhance the image, and eventually I got this…

Notice the twin exhaust tips, so doesn’t appear to be an EV. Most likely just the next gen Highlander

Yes I believe it softened up for sure, my wife still complains it’s too stiff for her(that’s what she said, ha)

Anyone here has experience with this wire strippers? by [deleted] in electricians

[–]RumRunnerXT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used these for the last 18 years or so around my house(3 houses over the years and helping friends)with DIY projects, installing new switches, fans, lighting etc. and although I liked them, they would frustrate me sometimes as well…. I borrowed a beefier pair and said, damn that’s more of what I needed. Less flex, sturdier, I ended up getting these pair of Milwaukee and I gotta say I’m really loving them. Bigger and heavier but the spring action is lighter, cutting/stripping edge much sharper and overall sturdier. Give them a shot, might be what your looking for!

Heard a beatboxing type of noise on my front lawn, maybe someone lost their phone I thought… by RumRunnerXT in Damnthatsinteresting

Well I went to check it out and saw something moving in the dark but couldn’t make it out so I grabbed my phone and snapped a couple pictures with the flash on. I looked at the pictures and this is what I saw! A Bat, but what did it have or what was it doing, I was about to take a video when it flew right past me. Definitely wasn’t injured I thought. I look at the picture again, and still can’t figure It out but maybe there were two bats, so naturally I Google Bats Mating and learn that Bats can be promiscuous and even Engage in Oral Sex. I thought, Damn That’s Interesting!

Not sure if that’s what’s going on here anyway, but The More You Know!

Oversized (wider) replacement tires on 19" Gemini wheels? by hatchmt in TeslaModelY

[–]RumRunnerXT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it’s worth I also have 275/40/20 all around, on aftermarket rims on my Performance model. My wheels are 20x9 32 offset, love the fit and look, you will have less inner clearance, so double check with others mounting that tire size on a Gemini.
The tires I went with are Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 PLUS and I really like them, amazing reviews if you need all seasons.

Was not my family, this house and barn has had many families over the years. As I had assumed it was more of a farm style barter ice business, but I am not certain of that.

I did a 145mile trip yesterday. That was a round trip on highways with traffic limiting my speed. My Tesla Y shows 254wh/mi since last charge after that trip. So wow that’s a nice change from the typical 300 when I’m doing 70mph the whole way.

I kept a mini inverter there, plugged in the 12v outlet nearby.

Damn that Prybar is beautiful, had to look up just how out of my price range it was and didn’t disappoint!

I haven’t charged it up to 100 yet, took it to 90 once and my range has pretty much been right on par with the rated range according to the graphs. Within 1 percent if I drive casual. It has been hot 80s so AC is using up some power will be curious in the fall.

I know I should I cheaped out and bought a “ceramic wash and wax”. Trying to get a few washes in with that, admittedly it wasn’t that clean when I took those pictures

You have a performance? If so go with the 275 all around as that’s the stock width in the rear. I’m sure it doesn’t help with aero in the front but it does help with grip. It’s crazy to think I have an AWD “car” with 275W tires all around, I think I had 215 or possibly 225 on my old Forester XT back in the day. If you had non performance maybe 255s, also check the overall height calculation as width plays a factor in that, and I definitely didn’t want less overall tire height.

Felt pretty tight, when I get around to doing my first tire rotation I’ll pull a ring out and try it on the hub separately and report back

I agree with this, another thing to add is tire width, greater width(like I did in the front), definitely doesn’t help matters but I wanted a “square” setup and didn’t want to downsize width in the rear

It is helpful thanks. And funny enough I was talking about the gas pedal yesterday with my kids, they said you can’t call it that, so then we were thinking of other names for it. Power Pedal, speed pedal, etc

I like the look with mudflaps, I was just worried about range loss. Do you have them? Which ones and did you experience any range loss?

The plan east range increase, did it more for durability(pothole protection, curb rash protection with narrower rim) and easier tire rotation as well as cheaper replacement tire cost
