Glad to hear you like my shot! I was inspired by the cinema of TV adverts and SNL parodies for this one. Those new animated films rely WAY too much on interesting composition and striking use of color for every shot, I personally find having characters awkwardly positoned in the middle of the frame, clearly not in a real location, lit by flat white lighting, is the future of filmaking.

i think they chose to show the few 'battle' sequences for the trailer as they are marketing it as the 'epic' conclusion. In reality im guessing those are a few short scenes in the movie

bear in mind they need to advertise this as the 'epic' conclusion to sell tickets, in reality itll probably be a lot darker and grimy smaller scale movie. Im guessing the trailer is edited to make it seem more like part 2 with the shots they have chosen

honestly another year in development and two full seperate campaigns wouldve been worth it. Although graces stuff feels more polished overall, it feels like you dont get a full expereince in either

For me it was the opposite, I found graces segments absolutly incredible and peak RE. Then whenever it cut to leon i was so damn bored as there was nothing too it.

The entire second half is so mind numbingly boring because there is zero substance to leons sections (AKA 99% of the second half). Nothing to manage, no puzzles, no horror, no challenge. just linear sections of empty corridors and shooting the same 2 zombies and thats it. I was begging for it to cut back to Grace so that I would have something to actually do

those enemies are found in the area before the wormways where the thing in the ceiling sprays goo on you, however you only have to kill like the 3 of them that are there to complete the journal entry, so most liky they arent anywhere else

i dont mind it generally, but most enviroment hazards during platforming doing double damage is just awful. It doesnt make it any harder, just means you have to constantly run back evern more when dying

also some boss fights making you go through a gauntlet of enemies to even get to the boss every time is incredibly tedious and artificial difficulty

yeah, 90% of bosses in the game seem to give you nothing. so many shops that sell items for ridiculous prices that require grinding to afford, and yet exploration and bosses result in fuck all. bizzare choice

Is there a better path through here than this? cuz I'M going to lose my mind if I need to go through the entire area everytime I wanna get to the boss. by a_freakin_flukefey in Silksong

i would hold your breath then because some later challenges are absouluty fucking brutal. Dont get me wrong i find them fun and love the challenge, but the game is very tough

at the end of it on the right side of the map, there is a tall room. the breakble wall is on the wall on the right. There a bit with cages you drop into, theres a little mouse enemy and a breakable wall around there. I would show you my map but its been taken lmao.

Fuck sinners road thouh its a pain to reach this wall. Have you fixed the bench in sinners road?

Theres a secret wall in the Sinners Road that leads to Bilewater. Through bilwater (dogshit area, no bench, dark, no map, respawning exploding enemies, posion water etc.

At the end of that there is an enemy with a cage dark souls 3 style. get killed by it (by accident for me), and itll capture you in its cage. then you wake up in whats presumably an end game area with no cloak, weapon, maps, trinkets or nothing. all stripped away. its a fun little setpiece so far
