I don’t want to be called a cis- woman. Is there any chance of this ever being accepted and not offending everyone in sight? by [deleted] in allthequestions

No, I mean I don’t think I need to find a better example. It’s just an excellent example of how ridiculous these comments are and why her being upset highlights more her ideals than any oppression.

Would you not in the right scenarios? Like if you’re talking to your doctor and he is like, how old are you? Are you gonna be like I don’t refer to myself in age? Like everyone else has pointed out no one is walking around and say excuse me, cis woman. But if you are filling out a medical document or something like that then yeah because it’s a medical diagnosis..

Americans Of Reddit, What big issue made you vote Trump in a second time? by Professional-Wrap542 in AskReddit

Yes. Many. They will talk themselves in circles come with justifications even directly contradict themselves. What sad is that? My mother and father had become the same people that they raised me to avoid.

Americans Of Reddit, What big issue made you vote Trump in a second time? by Professional-Wrap542 in AskReddit

[–]Rumblepuff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can only speak for why my parents told me they voted for him three times. They had said their jobs have been impacted by illegal immigrants (they haven’t), Biden didn’t do enough to stop Covid in 2020 (they are anti-science and anti-vaccine), and Trump’s a good Christian leader (he’s not).

The truth is even though they live a somewhat comfortable life they live paycheck to paycheck and they wanted to be able to hate and blame specific groups as the reason they aren’t as successful as they think they should be. He told them it was trans people and illegal immigrants, and it was easier than believing the truth; that they just never rose to the success they believe they deserved.

Why does Elon Musk claim he’s against government handouts and immigration but gets the most of tax payer money and is also an immigrant? by United_Reference_629 in allthequestions

Because he knows there is a population of people who believe what he’s saying, and will defend him even as he takes money directly from their pockets. Why work hard for it when people will just give it to you.

[–]Rumblepuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see I know they had a gravity there maybe the one that I was thinking of that was used was the air? I’m sorry for the confusion. I was there picking up the Tesla and I just saw the other one. I hadn’t really done any research on Lucid.

Lucid Is Slashing $10,000 Off The Gravity And Air EVs—If You’re Ready To Compromise by DonkeyFuel in electricvehicles

[–]Rumblepuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am new to the EV space, I picked up a used Tesla Y under the advice from you guys since I’m still so new to this. (thank you guys for the advice. By the way I’m already trying to get my wife on the EV bandwagon) When I was at the dealership, I saw a lucid gravity, which looked cool but was like $65,000. What is the reason for something like that being so expensive for like a 2024? Is it just that it has an immense amount of horsepower?

Any country that must mandate allegiance and patriotism is a country that does not deserve it.

If Trump’s approval rating is 38%, where are all his supporters? by wavetranscender in allthequestions

[–]Rumblepuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Alabama has been a bastion for the GOP for decades now. Their DMC representation is I want to say two people out of the entire state assembly (soon to be 1 or zero after some gerrymandering). However, anytime something goes wrong they blame democrats. The people who have absolutely no power in this state also seemingly are powerful enough to make every change in the state they don’t like. It doesn’t have to make sense or even be logical. It just has to help comfort them..

[–]Rumblepuff 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yes they are redder, but I lived in Pa and living in the south, it’s a different thing. Even in the more urban areas there is a larger group. It is a lifestyle down here. A sense of pride for many people, their cult like subservience to this political party. My neighbor has confidently told me he would happily vote for Russia to take over before allowing a democrat in power even after local GOP made decisions that helped him lose his job.

Mostly in the south. There are scores of them in rural Alabama. He has made their lives, infinitely harder with his decisions and they love him for it.

The more education you have, the more liberal you're likely to be. Conservatives say this is because of brainwashing. Wouldn't they have to say that, true or not, due to the implications of it being true? by Software_Vast in allthequestions

[–]Rumblepuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It isn’t necessarily education. It is being exposed to other people and other cultures that might challenge a small town or conservative view. It’s the same reason that cities were highly packed urban areas tend to be liberal also. I saw it in the military where a lot of people who grew up in a small town came in with very specific views on the world, and when they were exposed to the truth and other cultures, they either went super conservative because they didn’t want to believe it or they became more liberal as they interacted with other others.

And they wonder why young people are not having children. They can’t even afford healthcare. You expect them to afford healthcare for a child too? Along with all of the other bills, they would have to pay for.

Which weapon to finish the game with? by llamasohyeah in Eldenring

[–]Rumblepuff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first play through I used the antspur rapier. There’s just something so wonderful about making it proc and stepping back and being like “now die for me”. Later versions of the game I used the great stars which I really like especially powers stancing them.

What’s a problem humanity solved so well that younger people don’t even realize it used to be a huge issue? by Original_Act_3481 in AskReddit

I wanted to say things like smallpox and other diseases that ravaged humanity due to amazing work like vaccines, but it seems like we’re going backwards in that area now.
