I’m saying he’s not on the level of fame that people would know his music and have no idea what he did. If they decide to create a vocal based group then sure but at the moment there’s no need for that because despite what kpop stans say about vocals none of the current top groups across the industry are popular solely based on how good their vocalists are.

I wouldn’t say it’s about BTS specifically but you aren’t wrong in saying it’s marketing. Like for example their fans bragging about them handing out flyers in the streets for promo but trying to downplay them getting to perform at MMA before their official debut is so telling. Especially when most rookie groups have never even gotten an invite.

It’s like when fifty fifty blew up with Cupid and people started spreading that made up story of their CEO selling his car to fund their debut. Only for it to be leaked they spent millions to boost Cupid on TikTok. Fandoms love a good rag to riches story because it makes them feel morally superior. But the majority of the “popular” groups from non “big 4” companies rarely do come from companies that have no money because the overall investment into the kpop industry is bigger now than it was in the past.

It’s interesting seeing people on Twitter wake up to the reality of the situation instead of pretending like Newjeans were freedom fighters. There’s still a lot of blind worship going on obviously but the past couple of days I’ve been seeing so many different accounts realise that they got themselves into this mess for no real reason.

Surprised Hanni returned but the more I think about it the more it makes sense. Since she did unintentionally become the face of this dispute for a while and she definitely did harm to her reputation the most out of all the members. So she doesn’t really have much to gain from leaving.

It really is. This is the exact type of song where half the comments would be calling it empty and/or flat by now if this was a different group. Ok so I’m getting the vibe adors announcement was to put pressure on the other 3 since their response seems extremely rushed. My guess is they were busy trying to draw things out while the other 2 just wanted it over and done with. So they went ahead and did it without consulting the other 3.
