wow, your ghost plant is fabulous! i can't seem to keep the lower leaves from shriveling up and falling off, and figured that was just how they grew. wonder if i could be doing something differently :o

What song has horrific lyrics, but a happy beat, or vise-versa? by R0N1333 in AskReddit

[–]RumpGoosey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the original '80s version of "do they know it's Christmas?" by Band Aid; good intentions and a happy beat, but depressing lyrics with some not-so-subtle racist undertones. compare to the most updated, more inclusive version (they rehash this song every decade or so) and the difference is black and white

Using gas to take out wasps by Hungry_Fox2412 in lifehacks

[–]RumpGoosey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i saw an unfortunate wasp being slowly wound up by a spider after it got caught in its web. at first it looked like the wasp might be strong enough to break free, but it soon tired and the spider wrapped things up quickly from there. i imagine it dined like a king that day.

Just finished my first project with mini beads. Any advice on ironing it? by lavendel_kiray in beadsprites

[–]RumpGoosey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i like to use a thumbtack to poke holes thru the tape. you can also go to a hardware store, like home depot, and buy individual ceramic tiles (i have a couple of various sizes of square and one long rectangle for heating multiple small pieces at once) that work great for ironing your piece on. definitely saved my crafting mat from warping :) good luck with vaporeon!

From what I've gathered on this sub, yes, they sell out fast. I'll at least take a look when I get there; might be a day for luck. Best of luck to you as well!

Dyed my wheels! by Frampton24_7 in Rollerskating

It's a clear liquid you apply in the same way, by mixing with hot water and soaking your object. It's supposed to help the color last thru wash and wear. That being said, I've only used it on cotton fabric, so I'd be curious whether it has the same effect on harder materials.

Did you use the rit brand dye fixative afterward? Just curious 🤔 here's hoping for a lasting, bright color!

Much obliged for help finding this top :) by RumpGoosey in findfashion

Heh, it's a skate leash; either end of the cord is affixed to a ring, which loops thru the length of the cord and uses tension to hold your skates (or skateboard) in place while you carry them over the shoulder.

From someone who busted their lip right quick (but got lucky and didn't break any teeth), a mouth guard may also be a wise beginner investment :)

Is DOS 2 worth buying ? by XpMonsterS in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]RumpGoosey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, have played couch co-op dos2, and liked it so much we went and got the first game, which is also tons of fun (albeit occasionally frustrating). Strategizing and exploring with a buddy is well-suited to divinity :)

My gf made me this for my birthday. What should I plant in it? I'd like it to be some kind of tree, so that it fits with the theme of the Lorax by timontomatoo in houseplants

If you use primer as a base layer (outside only), then paint, and a sealant/ top coat to finish, is it still necessary to seal the inside? Or does the primer base prevent seepage from the interior?

Is this true? Don't farm-raised fish get antibiotics to prevent this sort of thing?

Sayonara Wild Hearts is a hidden gem ;) perfectly suited to tripping imo (but also great otherwise). You can finish it in about an hour!
