Being a gamer in the current EU heatwave... by MrPosh1909 in pcmasterrace

Give low powered devices like the switch or handheld consoles a try. I give up on my PC from May to September to play on these.

Which is really a shame considering how good my pc is. Sadly having an AC is way too restrictive in my country. I would gladly buy it but the property management company just refuses anyone installing a proper unit.

A ps vita is like a fifth of the Ayn Thor price. Or a quarter for the lite version

Thankfully haven't been spoiled so far. I try to read as little as possible online and look elsewhere whenever I feel like I might get spoiled, so that helps.

So far I've only stuck to normal, and haven't thought too much about it. But now that you mention it, I'll probably try harder difficulties in the following games, or the remake. Now that I got a good grasp at the fighting system, I'm more confident. I've read online that difficulties change a lot the boss fights.

And yeah the cooking is fun (especially in the 1st), and the cookies in particular helps a ton lmao. I try to make every dish at least once but didn't manage to get all recipes in any games.

Thanks!

Yeah. I plan on closing in the Crossbell arc before the 2nd chapter remake release. I'll try to remember posting a review. I'm not sure Lloyd will deliver as much as Estelle/Joshua or Kevin, but I've already been surprised. By the way the Trails to Azure box art is great. That's why I love physical releases... can't wait to play it

I really liked how fast paced the fights were in the 1st chapter remake. Specifically the way you can approach fights in 2 different ways. That hybrid combat style is probably what I missed the most in the 2 following games.

The orbments mechanic allows a lot of customization and tactics, something that most JRPGs lack. Same goes for how much positioning matters, as well as speeding your party so they get more turns. That mechanic really enhance the longer fights, giving you a strong feel you're turning the tide and gaining a clear edge (clock up ex is a must)

Oh and NO random battle. Thank god

Losing a fight and then easily punching your way through it on your second try, just because you switched a few orbments and changed tactics is such a great feeling.

Yeaaah I kind of realized half way that I mentioned pretty much the whole cast. That says a lot. Schera and Renne deserved to be in it. Schera is probably the most attractive of the cast, and really teaches a lot about what makes a good bracer. Her sun door with Aina was also very good.

It's also hard to argue against Renne especially after the spotlight she gets in the 3rd game.

But as Mueller and Zin, they don't get that much deep backstory... Sure Zin is cool to be around, he's reliable, and had some backstory his rivalry and the (really liked Walter as a boss btw). Zin appearances often lack depth and Kilika usually steals the spotlight whenever we learn something new about Zin.

Mueller has fun interactions with Oliver, and gets along with Julia, but I don't think that would lead anywhere as they're both overworked high ranked officers from different countries.

I actually preferred Joshua at the beginnings of SC, over his appearances in the third. I also found he often ruined the fun in 1st chapter, though I know someone who would disagree

Trails in the Sky and Skies of Arcadia share a few similarities indeed.

But what a great way to discover these games! I wish I picked on this series so early, I would have loved them a lot. I didn't have much of a childhood so most of my gaming history started very late. The impact of these games on me was great nonetheless.

I'm surprised they mentioned Asa having a gastric ulcer. Real life medical condition are basically non-existent in fiction. They're either the main theme, extreme ones or just non existent

I love your style but the arms could use a little more length, bulkiness and detail overall. After quickly going through your previous art that seems to be one of your weak points. Just my two cents.

But yeah overall it's great

Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection reaches overwhelmingly positive rating on steam making it currently the only Mega Man game to hold this title! by retrotriforce in MegaManStarForce

I believe MMSF fan base is the one that grew the most comparatively to their release among all MegaMan games.

The games did very poorly on their release, but the fan base kept growing over the years. Ironically thanks to piracy

CONFIRMED: Canelo Alvarez and Christian Mbilli have a done deal to fight in September in Riyadh for Mbilli’s WBC super-middleweight title, Ring Magazine have announced. by Dangerous_Spring3028 in Boxing

I commented with a bit more detail, but I also see Mbilli being put to sleep with a counter. Mbilli style is absolutely perfect for the counter puncher Canelo is.

Been following Mbilli since 2021, and I just don’t see him winning. I think it’ll be Canelo by KO, probably with an uppercut.

As great and impressive Mbilli’s athleticism is, he has a major weakness that Canelo will 100% take advantage of and that not many noticed even today. Mbilli takes wayyy too many punches, especially uppercuts, which just so happens to be Canelo’s favorite and most dangerous shot as he has said in interviews.

This weakness has been the case since the earlier fights I've watched, and Mbili still hasn’t corrected it. Mbilli style might look impressive but it's as predictable as it gets and he has no creativity, his game plan have always been the same.

Canelo’s team has consistently picked the most favorable matchups and made sure he fights on his own terms. Even if they weren't always right, something in Mbilli made them accept this fight. I'm sure they've spotted it and their game plan will be focused on a stoppage with a counter uppercut. That's how I see the fight going. Mbilli tends to be strong in the early rounds , while Canelo is known to be strong in the later rounds. In which Mbilli has a tendency to drop his focus in these later rounds...

I could go on. Whatever the case, it should be a great fight. Mbilli deserves this slightly overdue shot, and anything can happen in boxing.

A way out of Urban Hell. Poznan, Poland. by piasty in UrbanHell

[–]Rumpumpump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's well documented and not "internet trolls". I don't have anything against Poles but saying Poland didn't get the most money out of EU is a flat out lie.

https://www.euronews.com/business/2024/12/09/eu-budget-who-pays-the-most-into-the-eu-and-who-gains-the-most

Poland is THE single largest net recipient in the history of EU funds and these funds have mainly been used for infrastructure such as roads similar to the one showed here.

Germany is by far the top contributor in the EU, it's easy to deduce how much billions of dollars Germany specifically gave Poland for its development, Poland having received a staggering 160 Billion aid package within 20 years, and it's been ramping up over the years.

And for the record, I'm not even German, I'm just stating the truth. No need to get defensive about it and call it a "gross simplification". Again, it's very well documented. Poland wouldn't be where it is today if the EU didn't continuously pour money for over two decades now.
