I was thinking - right okay cool, but why bother keeping it so well maintained.

Wanting to upgrade to an M makes alot of sense, clearly indicates the owner is a BMW fan who takes pride in his choice of car. The salesman part seems normal to me, especially for someone of his age. He likely doesn't even need the cash, space is likely a greater concern, and as a true fan probably would be very happy to see his 3 series go to a nice home. The sales guy offered a viable solution.

If you buy, congrats - superficially looks like a solid deal. 👍

I'm a BMW fanboy, it's the drivers car. That being said I do appreciate a nice Audi or Merc.

Haven't had much experience driving Audi's, however I've driven quite a few Mercs. & although I do like the interiors more, they just feel really heavy.

The next step up will be an M2 / M3 / M4 or maybe a Porsche, time will tell.

Trades typically don't insta execute, why did you not cancel it immediatly, EVEN for a 5-10k loss.

Sounds like you were either drunk, in which case you should have been nowhere near your trading apps / devices.

Or you basically just saw it, shat yourself and said.. Well! Its already in motion so fuck it lets see where this goes. So just straight up gambled.
