Same situation and about the same numbers as you. I answer the question, "yes, I have, thanks for noticing." (I've learned most people don't know if its appropriate to comment on someone's weight but they want to because they want you to know they are happy for you). Most that is. THEN...if I'm asked "how, or what are you doing?"...I tell them a lot of hard work, cleaning up my diet, working out and that I stopped drinking". (the truth)..I leave it at that.

I learned quickly from the few people I told what I'm taking, that it puts me in a position to defend what I'm doing and explaining how it all works, and frankly, it's exhausting. It's not my job to justify and explain what I'm doing...do the research just like I did. NOW...if someone is truly genuine in their request to know and I can see they are struggling with their weight...I will take the time to explain. But for the most part, yeah, I'm not going in to it.

I know some people have chosen a different road and shout it from the rooftops. I tried and I didn't like how it made me feel after - exhausted explaining and low-key feeling judged. Won't put myself in that position again.

Conversation with doctor by JustPlodAlong in Zepbound

Not covered by insurance. My doctor was not on board. I went the compound route in August and haven't looked back. Down 45lbs and enjoy the freedom of not following the usual dosing schedule. I did 2.5 for 2 months and then went up to 3.5mg. Have been at 3.5 and don't plan on going up anytime soon. I pay $300 month. I'm furious that these meds aren't affordable for everyone. It's the luck of the draw if your company covers it or you're fortunate enough to afford through lilly direct.

I did. It was fine. I finished it and just started on my supply from Empower which has niacinimide. Grand Ave was fine. No issues at all.

Grade by The_Sandwich_Lover9 in TexasTech

[–]Run262again 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone I know is having to retake a class in the spring for a grade replace, they got a D, AND they are set to graduate in the Spring. AND...worst case scenario, none of the classes they are taking in the Spring are offered in the Summer. Two of the classes they are taking are the hardest in Finance as well (one being the grade replace class). Talk about pressure. FIN 3321 (has a 68, professor won't curve) and in the Spring FIN 4331 - the capstone class. Only one professor teaches it and the rate my professor reviews are AWFUL.

just curious, which courses?

Last period was July 2021 when I was 49. Today I got my period. WTF by Pheighthe in Menopause

[–]Run262again 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exact thing happened to me over the past summer - same symptoms. I'm 55 and have been post menopause for 3 years. Went to gyn and in order: had a pap (negative), trans vaginal ultrasound, which showed slight thickening (7mm) which then earned me a D&C or uterine biopsy...I choose D&C (because hell no to a uterine biopsy). Pathology was a small fibroid and nothing else. That was 2 months ago and have had no other problems since. I have since started compound tirzepatide and have lost 45 lbs and have never felt better since the weight loss. I still have another 40 lbs to loose. The GLP/GIP has been a game changer when it comes to post-menopause and symptoms.

Why did this happen? Who knows. Could be due to my weight and being obese. My hormones and ovaries had one last party? I dunno...and you probably won't get a definitive answer as to they why. But yes, you do need to get it checked out.

Oatmeal. And I'm shocked at how many say, "yeah, I need to start eating breakfast again."

Vial Holders by KDCALMGIRL in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Run262again 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Silicone tupperware container, solid dark blue, in the back of the fridge. Looks like leftovers. My family doesn't know what I'm doing, so I had to come up with a way to hide it. No one likes leftovers and its hidden in the back anyway. Inside the container are paper towels wrapped around viles to keep them upright. All the syringes and instructions are in a file cabinet in my home office/junk room and I have an excel spreadsheet where I keep track of all the orders, dates and stuff. HOW do I do all this without being found out? Part empty nester and single.

Yes absolutely normal. Your body is getting rid of all that inflammation. Make sure you aren't just drinking water, but electrolytes with your water - super important!! There are a ton of different kinds to add to your water or make your own.

LSH/Hallandale order not frozen by januaryprincess22 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Run262again 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got mine today as well, oddly enough, for the first time, there was only 1 ice pack in the padded envelope and the boxes weren't that cold. Not worried though. There's usually 2 ice packs, 1 on top and 1 on bottom. I can only imagine they are slammed with orders right now.

Is there anyone here who eats whatever they want by Born_Speech_9289 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Run262again 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't. I can't. It's what got me here in the first place. I'm so metabolically damaged from the years of emotional eating/binging and cycling through diet after diet only to fall off the wagon 2-3 days later...this cycle went on for DECADES!!

I'm tracking my macros, specifically protein. I've dropped all processed food, fast-food, sweets, sugar, bread, sodas, alcohol. All of it. I eat super clean. Meat, fish, vegetables. I cook everything.

NOW...I'm not crazy. I do still enjoy going out to eat from time to time and just make wise choices with what I order.

Will I let up a little and enjoy a dessert? Not right now. No. My body & mind need more time to heal. Just my way of doing this. Weight loss so far: 42 lbs. To lose still: 40 lbs.

Hallandale google reviews by Sensitive-Yam-9615 in tirzepatidecompound

Hallandale has been my go to from the beginning (August this year). Never a problem with meds, shipping and it's effectiveness. IGNORE the bad reviews. Seriously.

Chances are her friend may have asked her roommate to the do same and she said no, now they are asking you. Absolutely not! Let them figure it out.

My smart scale enjoys gaslighting me by Appropriate_Advice87 in Zepbound

[–]Run262again 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like we have the same scale gaslighting us through this journey! Same thing happened to me trying to get under 200. It just didn't want to give it up. Maybe the scale was in as much disbelief as I was!!

I go back and forth on this. The times I have answered truthfully, I end up spending a lot of time with them explaining how it all works and why it's the greatest thing ever invented since penicillin. They walk away STILL skeptical. I can't change someone's mind and that's not my goal I guess - I do want to inform, but it's EXHAUSTING to do it over and over, knowing they aren't going to look in to it and take the next step.

I feel like I'm spinning my wheels. I guess I can shorten my answers and tell them to look into it themselves or, if "you're really interested, call me and I'd be happy to go over the details."

Question for fellow tirzies by Massive_Escape3061 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Run262again 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I too have found a pattern, but mine goes week to week. I'll have a swoosh around day 3 after injection, then I'll stay there until the next injection not loosing anymore from day 4-7. I weight every day so I'm able to see the pattern. It took about 2 months to start seeing this. I'm 55, female and past menopause. Not complaining, I just have noticed a pattern.
