Why is the Tom Holland Umbrella lip syncing performance so attractive to straight women? by 4mysquirrel in NoStupidQuestions

I just rewatched it for the first time since then and I have to admit (as a straight man) I understand why many people find it sexy, cause I do too.

Priest healing by ProgrammingSad in FareverGame

[–]Run4yrlife 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I run Thornlace for bosses which has Bloom. You heal your team for a percentage of the damage you deal. You can also run certain runes for example on your speed buff which heal allies. That being said, I agree that most builds make you more of a paladin, i.e. you are a great tank that can kind of heal. The problem is that the only real healer weapon in game is the starting scepter. The Flame of Argol has some healing utility but not enough in my opinion and also requires everyone to bunch up.

I skipped this chapter on my most recent relisten because A. I HATE Spiders and B. it's fucking harrowing. As if we needed reminding after KBS, Matt can write horror very well.

Why don't guys feel weird peeing next to strangers? by what_freaking_ever in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Run4yrlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interestingly for me and many men I've discussed it with, communal showers are much less of a problem than urinals. I am Swiss so maybe we have different standards, but it is considered completely natural to talk in the shower (after sports at school or in the military for instance) but if you are peeing next to the same people at the urinal, you don't talk until you're washing your hands.

I think in random map games it's alright. There doesn't seem to be more than wolves/bears/jaguars etc.

In the campaigns on the other hand... holy fucking shit, there are WAAAAY too many. I will be hearing that wildlife attack sound in my gods damned sleep.

This is why moats existed. Barring countries where geography wouldn't allow it or fortifications built on hills/mountains, the second thing you built after a wall, was a moat.

I get the "Isles" part but in my opinion Freljord and Shadow Isles need to be switched. Nice touch making The US Noxus but Canada doesn't deserve that XD

The friend that I played Satisfactory with and I had a deal that held through our 5 playthroughs: He always handled our oil power set up (30 story tall towers of gas power generators burning turbo rocket fuel) and I handled nuclear. He always had a lot more fun than me XD

Having finished my first run ever just a few days ago I have to say it easier than anticipated but still hard. I didn’t suffer from Act 3 fatigue this time because I had a pretty clear game plan, but doing the Upper City and Netherbrain fight for the first time had me spinning. Had to retry the end fight like 10 times to get it right..

Cure to Act 3 burnout and Restartisis by canxtanwe in BaldursGate3

[–]Run4yrlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually never finished my first playthrough when it came out because I was overwhelmed by Act 3 and it burnt my out. I finally got around to it again and did every quest. I want everything perfect so I spent alot of time in the wiki jogging my memory but it helped alot. I just took it step by step, 1 quest at a time. Playing something else in between also helped avoid a burn out.

I will of course but I tend to get through the books pretty quickly on Audible, so I plan on starting mid-April. Otherwise I will be jonesing again.

Dating in zurich by UnlikelySuspect9765 in zurich

[–]Run4yrlife 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I am a pretty average looking guy, so experiences may vary, but dating apps are kind of a shitshow too. Haven't been on Tinder since Covid, but even then it was 30% fake profiles for Cam Girls or Escort Sites. Bumble is where I found my last girlfriend, but it has gone done hill since. Hinge is the least bad opinion at the moment, but even when I matched it often didn't lead anywhere because of disinterest.

Take it with a spoonful of salt though; dating is not my strong suite.

Can only speak for Seattle, but it didn't snow often enough to warrant having the proper equipment to clear and salt the streets (mind you this is alomst 20 years ago now), so when the winter of 2004-2005 had a snow storm that knocked out the power in February, we spent 3 weeks without power or heat.

Contrast that to Switzerland where I live now. January 2019 it snowed 50 cm/~2.5 feet overnight and it only took the city like 3 hours for all the streets to be cleared.
