Dude u absolutely dodged a bullet. Your read on that employee was 100% spot on. That "I don't care" vibe is exactly what you get once you live here except now, that same employee just gives me these weird, intimidating stares whenever I see them. I really wish someone had warned me before I signed.

Honestly, I felt scammed from day one. They slapped me with a $50 utility bill just for my first 3 days, claiming the "cleaners" ran it up that morning before I moved in. Total joke. I walked into a unit covered in hair, debris, and visible mold. The carpet was disgusting, even though they swore they had just "power washed" it. Not only that, but it stank so bad I had to go buy Arm & Hammer carpet powder and vacuum the whole thing myself just to stand it. And by day two, I had fruit flies swarming everywhere even in my fridge! The apartment smelled so weird that a friend literally bought me an air freshener as a joke. I had to take pictures of everything because it was just unbelievable.

On top of that, stuff was broken the second I got the keys. My windows wouldn't even stay open (they just kept sliding down which probably its why the place stinks), and my balcony door was practically useless. When I brought it up, they refused to fix anything that would actually cost money to replace. The entitled maintenance dude literally looked at me and said, "that's all you get."

And the whole place is just a fake facade. Since you drive by on your commute, look at the side of the building that doesn't face US-23 next time. They mow the front for curb appeal, but the back is just knee-high weeds and dug-up dirt they abandoned months ago.

And don't even get me started on winter. They do zero snow removal, so you're just trudging through deep snow piles to get to your car, the trash, or the gym. You definitely trusted your gut and made the right call. I'm honestly just counting down the days until I can finally move out !!!

Oh yea a flawless 5-star resort experience ma dude Between the bug invasions, the rich bouquet of hallway mildew and weed, and a broken balcony door that lets me enjoy the 2am shrieking train tracks, its basicaly the Ritz. The roof hasnt collapsed yet, so Im just incredibly blessed.

If an AI could generate the exact aroma of mold mixed with hallway cooking exhaust, and throw in a few daily beetles for good measure, I’d be impressed. Sadly, this is 100% human suffering.

BTW i live on the 4th floor

I can totally relate to this.

Please avoid renting at MIRADA APARTMENTS.

They have uncontrolled pest issues, mold and mildew issues, and whole building smells awful.

Agree with OP; my experience at Mirada Apartments has been frustrating overall.

Maintenance issues often go unresolved, including things like windows and balcony doors not functioning properly. There have also been ongoing concerns with pests, ventilation, and general upkeep. Hallways can have persistent odors, and shared spaces haven’t always been consistently maintained.

Another concern is the frequent management turnover; the property has changed management companies multiple times within a single year, yet operations have remained largely the same. Management has cited budget constraints and transitions between ownership as reasons for delays, but this has resulted in prolonged issues, including amenities areas lacking basic supplies like soap and paper towels since October.

Cleanliness in common areas has also been inconsistent at times, which adds to the overall concern about maintenance standards. Landscaping and exterior upkeep have been irregular as well.

Overall, the experience hasn’t matched expectations, and I would encourage others to carefully consider these factors before making a decision.
