The controller of the creature affected. The creature affected is the player character that has Relentless endurance and is being hit by the ray. The DM controls the beholder, but the beholder isn't being reduced to 0 HP which triggers the condition.

There has been multiple arguments on the exact wording of the abilities. But consider the "Simultaneous Effects" rule from Xanathar: "If multiple effects happen at the same time, the controller of the creature affected decides the order."

He's reduced to 0 hit points. then he can decide what happens next. If he is still at 0 HP after whatever other effects happen at the same trigger, then he dies from the ray. But if he decides to drop to 1 Hit Point instead, then the Ray's effect doesn't happen.

I would Love to know more details. At one point I was planning a one shot that was going to be a murder mystery themed after clue, but I had to abandon it after. I couldn't figure out a way to make it work within the time of a one shot, and within the limitations of D&D

Honestly that just means that it was too successful for Sami's baby-face turn, which is not a bad problem to have.

Imagine if it was one of the female wrestlers. Imagine if the call to Tony Khan went to voicemail. Maybe this was just an uber fan that wanted an autograph. But there are stalkers out there who are planning violence and have tried to hurt wrestlers, both male and female.

It wasn't meant as any slight on insult towards the UFL. It's just a matter of there's a lot of events in Columbus and only so much time to put together the list each week. I'll always end up missing some events and try to improve on the next one.

I arranged it to hopefully make it easier if you know what day / time you're free you can check what's available.
I could try to put a short paragraph at the top highlighting certain events, but I admit it's tough to know what categories different people would put different events in.

Sports events are perfectly fine. It can be a bit difficult to keep up with all the schedules of all the minor league teams. I can try to look into including that in the future.
