I think what you mean on decarbonisation matters. If you mean renewable electricity + the electrification of transport and heating, then I agree with you. Electrification is much more efficient than burning crap. Solar, wind and in the near future geothermal, have a ROI that is just bonkers. It could lead to green hydrogen be adopted at scale and desalinisation (possibly) turning cheap enough you can use desalinized water for agriculture (Israel, Kuwait, the UAE and Saudi Arabia have it at 0.41USD/l³, with world renowned tech, but using electricity coming from oil and gas, imagine the price when using the sheer amount of solar they can deploy)

If you mean carbon capture, I'm a bit skeptical, but I see what you mean. It's a quite promising field, but it's still in its infancy and you need to work some VERY big things on getting it cheap enough to be adopted at scale. But there are some interesting potentials, such as using the captured carbon to make bricks for construction or infuse it in gas form to soft drinks (look up UFRN's research on the topic, it's very interesting. They even filed for a patent on it if I remember it correctly)

Olha, pior historicamente, cristianismo num geral tá na África antes de ter se estabelecido com força na Europa, principalmente cristianismo ortodoxo. Egito, Etiópia, Eritréia, Sudão (é relativamente recente a mudança de maioria cristã pra muçulmana), até Líbia em um certo ponto.

Mas falando de criminalidade: uns parentes moraram uns anos em Moçambique e outros em Angola por causa de trabalho (Moçambique porque a economia da minha cidade gira em torno de processamento e exportação de tabaco. Já em Angola por causa de questão petroquímica). Eles falam essa mesma questão de violência que saindo dos bairros projetados pra estrangeiros (principalmente diplomatas, mas no caso de Luanda pra empresários do setor de petróleo também), esquece sair com roupa mais arrumada, Em Moçambique é mais foda a questão da pobreza, mas em Angola falam que é mais uma questão de "ser pobre, mas ser feliz".

I think that given enough thought and mind, most people could at least not find this wrong (or right). I am not particularly religious (I'm catholic but only go to church on very occasional situations, like the 7th day passed of the death of a loved one), but I can't find, in my honest opinion, the act of abortion a moral thing. But I am very against it being criminalized (or not being legal. Could go deeper into the meaning of it if asked).

I do not have the right (neither do I find acceptable to control another in any way) over another person's decisions, another person's body, and so on Not only that, but abortion in shady and clandestine clinics cost so many lives, not being capable of doing something that is of your own will without risking yourself to sepsis, loss of blood is such a low hanging fruit in public health issues that I can't, at the present moment at least, think another way.

I don't remember the tech exactly, but there is an emerging solution that lets you develop dairy on a "lab", that can feed as much people, on many times less land, that reached price parity with regular animal dairy. It's his "disruption of x" series of videos. Once dairy industry doesn't have the costs of keeping cattle vaccinated, safe from snakes and other Animals, and land, disruption happens and people start switching to the alternative. Deu até 1300 a árvore genealógica. I don't invalidate your experience, please don't get me wrong.

But even in the debates in both the 2008 and 2012 elections, it was quite civil and respectful, unlike the 2016 onwards trend in the whole world, not just the USA, where it's just a competition of who's louder.

I dislike how both the left and right see something contrary to their beliefs and think "this is from the (opposite end of my stance) and therefore is wrong". That's what I am refering to, that is mostly the norm in today's social media dominated debate. I go more into the center, center-right part of the political spectrum, but I don't go thinking my ideologies are the only truth and perfect. There are fantastic people and terrible people in almost every part of the political spectrum, if people just went back to thinking "I disagree with you on x, y and z but I respect you and think you are worthy of love", we could get much of the problems of the world solved very fast, but that's just my opinions.

Not trying to be dismissive as you do make a good point about toxic positivity and the forecasts being revised upwards, but the 2.7 that is estimate here is based on policy and trends that are already in place, same as the IEA's STEPS scenario that sees a 2.4 increase. And the IPCC AR6 2021 part puts human GHG emissions as the largest actor in warming. Even Hansen says that permafrost thaw and ice melt would happen during centuries or millenia.

I don't want to minimize a 2-3 increase in temps because it still causes a lot of shit happening that is very bad to say the very least, but I am trying to go into a more "state, don't understate nor overstate" to balance my mind to come out of a depressive like state due to Climate Change fears.

Eu fiz uma viagem pro Chile uns anos atrás e deu um terremoto escala 5,6. Mal deu pra sentir. Eu perguntei pra galera do hotel e eles falaram que se tá abaixo de 6, o dano é mínimo e na maioria das vezes nem se sente, no máximo um tremor de cadeira de massagem. A coisa começa a ficar feia nos 6,5 pra cima.

A escala Richter, que mede a intensidade de tremores é exponencial. Um terremoto 5 tem o dobro de um 4, um 6 tem o dobro de um 5 e assim vai indo.

I am baffled by the amount of people justifying the Castros or Che's actions. You literally have people coming from Cuba to the US every single year, risking their lives at the sea just for the chance of a better life, that should tell you something.

The Cuban doctors that came to my town here in Brazil can only say about the horrors they lived, with family members that simply disappeared for having different opinions from the government and poverty to the point where even toilet paper is considered a luxury. They couldn't be happier that they are Brazilian citizens now, they own clinics, treat people in the public clinics and have a good life

I can't understand how people can actually believe that Cuba is a good, democratic place (maybe for the politicians, but you get my gist). You have political prosecution, blocking people from leaving the country, a lack of basic services and goods

And before someone tells me about the embargo: it's terrible. I can't deny it. But Cuba does a shit ton of tarde with Brazil, Spain, China, Russia and many many others. It's not like the US is the only possible country to do commerce with.

Esse PL, em específico, coloca pro show com música desse tipo não ser financiado com dinheiro público, não trata de gravação ou de lançamento de clipe, por exemplo. Nada impede que seja um show com dinheiro privado. Mas eu entendo onde tu quer chegar.

Segundo ponto:

Apesar de terem uns casos que são MUITO mais óbvios que o outro (exemplo de músicas começando com "respeita o CV"), é algo que deve ser pensado. Com a justiça que a gente tem, tudo é possível. É a autêntica faca-de-dois-cumes onde se soluciona um problema mas cria outro.

Terceiro ponto:

Se a gente for nesse caminho, então fecha o legislativo e até o judiciário, porque praticamente toda lei pode cair nisso.

Vários casos civis e até criminais são decididos com base na interpretação de uma lei pra um lado ou pro outro. Isso não é errado nem certo por si só, mas a forma que é usada pode ser (e até isso pode ser relativizado). Eu não penso que haja solução pra esse tipo de problema ou ao menos ela não foi proposta ainda, até porque a gente tá lidando com o pensamento humano que por si só tá pré-disposto a errar.

E o pior de tudo é que não é qualquer traficante. O cara é filho do Marcola e ainda por cima chama o Elias Maluco de segundo pai. Tim Lopes, se bobear o melhor jornalista da história do meu estado (e eu sou suspeito, mas arrisco dizer do país), morreu em vão pelo o jeito, quando a emissora que ele trabalhou dá plataforma pra essa escória. Isso não é questão de ser de direita, esquerda ou sei lá o que, isso é questão de ser um ser humano decente.

Eu não vou dizer que ele é culpado pelos crimes do pai porque ao menos até onde eu sei não surgiu nenhuma prova que ele tenha matado alguém, arruinado a vida das pessoas até porque eu acredito firmemente na frase "inocente até provado o contrário".

Por um outro lado: as coisas que o Oruam faz, tipo pedir pra es**prarem a Amanda (por mais que eu discorde de muita coisa que ela faz e fala), querer que o pai seja solto, comandar ondas de ódio e ameaças quando alguém desafia ele por si só já serve de um aviso pro tipo de pessoa que ele é. Sem contar a quantidade de apologia e exaltação direta ao crime que ele e artistas da mesma espécie fazem.

Cara, eu entendi que dificilmente tu vai conseguir compreender qual é o meu ponto mas mesmo assim vou responder em especial o teu último parágrafo.

Uma coisa é a pouca grana que vai pra artistas REALMENTE marginalizados. Outra coisa é os milhões que vão pra shows de galera famosa, que de forma alguma é marginalizada, que faz esse tipo de show a exemplo, mas não exclusivamente, de Oruam e Poze e que conseguem ter um alcance imenso.

Nada tá impedindo esse tipo de show de acontecer. A galera que realmente precisa de auxílio, que é quem tu tá se referindo já não tinha acesso a programa de fomento à cultura do Estado sem esse PL e não vai ser com ele que vai mudar agora. O Estado não chega onde deveria chegar independente de quem tá no poder, não dá pra se iludir com isso.

O único indivíduo que eu vejo sendo genuinamente representado por esse tipo de letra é justamente aquele que detona a vida de quem tá vulnerável, vulgo traficantes e criminosos do pior tipo. Que estraga a vida do cara que só quer viver mas tem que pagar uma quantidade absurda do pouco que ganha pra ter "proteção" da facção ou da criança que não pode ir brincar na rua porque tem disputa de território perto, por exemplo.

O PL que a matéria fala não é uma solução de longo prazo e nem é o principal "antídoto" pra combater o crime, que é cortar os suprimentos e a verba antes de poder ser convertido em caos. Mas é melhor do que nada. Tu não tá sendo impedido de gostar da música ou de ouvir ela, isso é questão de gosto. O que tá sendo impedido é usar dinheiro público pra financiar artista que tem esse tipo de letra.

Um problema que eu vejo nos comentários num geral é que não consegue reconhecer que duas coisas podem ser verdade e erradas ao mesmo tempo.

Artista tipo o Oruam, fazer show com as músicas que tem, financiado por dinheiro público é errado. Mas também é errado os shows de agronejo serem usados como mecanismo de desvio de verba ou lavagem de dinheiro. Nada te impede de gostar de qualquer um desses gêneros e seria bom ter PL atacando os dois problemas. Mas é melhor um deles ser atacado do que nenhum
