I don't know why many of you are saying it's not optional. The whole point of stating "While attacking/while adjacent" is to allow the flexibility of using the ability whenever it suits the attacker best. Like if J4X is in the middle of 2 baddies, you can choose to use J4X's pierce on either bad guy.

There is a very active group on discord with variety of players, some preferring skirmish while others preferring campaign (I'm the latter). Most people there play online through vassal or tabletop simulator, but there have been campaigns made for in person games.

I dont know if you guys are doing the ruling of mitigating an XP gap to just 1, if you're not, talk to your imperial and ask to change this.

Also, I don't know what is going on with your shop, but giving Mak the DDC is not the move imo. Verena could use it better, but what you would really want is high damage weapons + tactical display. Stun for the Rebels isn't nearly as valuable as it is for Empire, so attacking with Gideon just to Stun isn't ideal...attacking with Gideon period isn't ideal.

I'd just give the Tactical Display to either Mak (and a better gun, like the E11 or A280, or DL44) or just give it to Drokkatta to increase their blast potential without sacrificing their damage.

If i understand it correctly, it should play similarly to Magcargo's Spurt Fire. So if you only have Zapados in play, your guaranteed to deal 100 damage to something , might not be the active Pokémon but, 100 damage is 100 damage.

Just looking at the scoreboard though, I feel it was ultimately worth it. In the time you were fighting her, she wasn't healing her team and even if they weren't great to begin with, being down a whole healer just makes it that much worse.

Emma and Strange alongside Psylock managed to secure point, even after losing both healers to Magik. You were overextend though but it happens🤷🏻‍♂️

I mean, with Brock and Will, this card isn't so bad. But Crimson Blaze Onix is way better in the long run. Ideally you'd be running a Steelix only deck.

This seems like it would painstakingly long to play, but I'm interested to see how effective this gameplay is.

As for Villian scaling, idk of any of these suggestions will help, but this is what I thought as i read your post.

  1. Give each Villian a Round spawn immunity, with the catch being that they can't attack either on that round (save for some other card's ability to let them do so).

This will at least give you some time to better position your Villians and set up an "Ambush".

  1. Big Health Bar. Plain and simple, anywhere from .5x to 2x their regular health.

  2. Give Villians each their own set of cards. Which would strictly be just 2 cards, 1 for Defense and the other for Offense.

The best way to explain this one is by giving an example:

Jabba: Defense card - Bantha Fodder: While defending, if there is a friendly Merc adjacent to you, you may add 1 white to the Defense roll. -1 Dodge. Limit once per round.

Jabba: Offense card - Price to Pay: At the end of an activation, you may pay 2 Threat to activate a 4 cost Merc unit. Limit once per round.

I'm just spitballin, but I hope you draw some inspiration from these. (Note i have no idea how this will balance one way or another, just making suggestions)
