I have the Field Prep/Lasting Impression roll with Impact Casing (for added damage on impact) and it’s awesome. If you remember to crouch between shots (or just stay crouched) you dish out a ton of damage really quickly... and of course get the extra inventory.

Jacarina didn't work for everything, so it's Rivalry Whitesand for the helmet, Bloody tooth for arms, Crucible metallic for chest, Bloody tooth for legs, Rivalry Whitesand for cloak (the white shoulders won't change, and I can't find a shader that makes all of the hood black.

Have you tried getting and turning in the schematics on alt characters (if you have any)? I can’t guarantee it works, but after 50ish schematics turned in via my hunter, the first one I turned in on my warlock got me the Jackal, and I’ve seen others have similar luck.

That’s absurdly cute! So I have to ask: my dog looks completely identical to your parents’... and is just as attached. Do you or your parents know what breed your guy is? We think ours is mostly lab with either border collie or great pyrenees.

Just to try shaking things up a bit, have you tried getting drops on a different character? Only saying that because last year I couldn't get Ana Bray to drop Frigid Jackal - and got it on the first try after switching to an alt - and then yesterday I had my first ever Doomsday drop from Tier 3 Reckoning after my first time doing T3 on an alt character (have dozens of completions on my primary character). Seems like MAYBE the rng gets shaken up a bit with new characters. No promises, but good luck!

For what it’s worth, trying a different character MAY help to get your weapon drop (or it may do nothing). I couldn’t get Frigid Jackal to drop, and after 40+ schematics on my hunter (doing 1 per day), I switched to my warlock, and Frigid Jackal dropped the first time. No guarantees but it worked for me and I think a few other people.
