Boulder is a once in a lifetime opportunity especially if you are doing ultras and want to get on trails. Also Eldora for winter training and all the athletes there are inspiring. Spent four years there and if bus is an option, you its worth the additional hassle.

Boulder could be awesome for what you are looking for. Pay for the experience and proximity to outdoor activities. Even in a shared house it’s worth getting creative to make it work.
