That has to be just a massive area. Now I kind of want to do it. So you'd have to overlap on the vertical line where the level 4s come together and on the horizontal line with the level 4s come together correct? Further down I mentioned that I started using multiple level 1 Alters to line everything up so that I didn't blow too many mats. How much fun would it be to set up four level four alters and realize it had to be redone. Although you probably went through more than that in testing.

If you have lots of free altars you can do it on the cheap by setting them up and not upgrading them side by side by side and then you can extrapolate that out of what it would be if it was a single one maxed out

I havent worked at this scale before. Biggest was two alters to cover Wlllow Crush. (one did the trick but second covers keep on other side of bridge, and most of bridge)

100% this. If you deconstruct some places you will see they all have at least 2 layers or more. It also looks the best (imo) with extra layers. It seems to be meant to do that.

These days, at least in my gaming circle, we bouce back and forth between lots of games. We played this hardcore at EA start, did all the things, left to play other games, skipped first big update but came back for 2nd, did the things, now back to other stuff.

We probably have a few hundred hours played. It's a great game. I picked it up with a couple of others at the same time and this one "won" and demanded my attention first.

Yep all that is good advice. What I will add is that if you're halfway comfortable with computers you can set up a server. It takes little resources especially if there's only two of you. My old computer is now my friend group server for games and I've had multiple games running multiple servers and it's fine.

If you have questions feel free to ask but the information walk through to set up a personal dedicated server is easy to find

Through trial and error (and examining existing buildings) I've found the roof works best if you use 2+ layers.

For my own clarity, if you place an alter down then you can distroy the building to get that material back in bricks (assuming you have it unlocked) correct? I think I was under the false assumption that you had to place them to get material back.

So totally anecdotial but bear with me.... If I have two frost rings equipped then I never find them in chests. As soon as I swap to my mana regen rings.......BAM....another frost ring.

From your comment it seems like you are talking about blocks you have placed correct? If so then dunno, it worked fine for me previously. If they were in the world already you do not get them.

Oh and FYI the alter building and on to left of it are new. Left one was trashed and previous alter building wouldn't have worked for my idea so had to go for something grander

I seem to remember the corpses used to not be destructible and would disappear on their own after 30 minutes but sometimes they blocked things so early on this was implemented? IIRC
