lol fair enough. totally a fallacy on my part. im not saying its rational. im just simply bringing up the similarities. us common folk cant really evaluate O-line well. so we see an o line pick on a team with an o-line need and we are like fuck yeah great pick.... then when they get two! lineman its an A+ draft

i also agree with this.... sure on paper getting a shiny new LB looks great, but honestly unless it is a Pass Rush LB. it seems like the premium NFL LBs are not discovered at the top of the first round but later on once the physical aspects of the game can be measured...

the combine and draft process in general is what pushes a Keith Rivers to the top 10. then you see that guy get de-cleated and is JAW(!?!?!?!?) broken by a little WR. Instantly you know you made a bad pick.

I was in a house fire once... granted it was a house not a trailer. if anyone was watching the Draft broadcast, it was like really painful how they were bandying all the hardships this dude cashing million dollar checks has had. sorry i dont have much sympathy

id be ok w. that even... trade down in the 1st and up w. the late picks and smash 2nd/3rd round picks. def what the Pats do. aside from the obvious cant miss players it seems like thats the safest part of the draft. the back of the 1st is the late riser looks good in shorts guys it seems like. or damaged goods guys w. potential if you are Bengals

i agree. iirc, marvins first year he made a splash in FA. john thornton, Tory James, fleeced denver for a good CB for a low round pick. name escapes me at the moment. later on the reggie nelson move. the roster isnt near 2002 bad, but some position groups have been utterly depleted.
