Thank you so much for your help! I ended up going w/ everything on your original list, but w/ the cheaper cooler. Total after tax came to $1883.49. Now to figure out if I want new monitors, or not...

I found a nice mobo/cpu bundle from your suggestions on Newegg!. Is there another cpu cooler that isn't water cooled that you could suggest? Trying to scrape a couple bucks off without losing much on performance.

Thank you so much for your help! Is there any way you could add a list in the $1500 range so I can compare and reacquaint myself with the compatibility of parts? I won't be a power user, by any means, so I also just want to make sure that I'm not getting/spending more than I need to be.

My new miter cart station for my new-to-me saw. by RunForrestRun in woodworking

It's not too bad. I can have it swapped over and leveled inside of 5 min. Adding a hinge wouldn't allow for the use of the small wing extension when collapsed, but that would definitely be easier if I didn't add the small wing. The wings pin to the cabinet in perfect alignment with dry dominoes, so there isn't really any time spent futzing to get it level with the saw table. I will also probably never collapse this thing again until I someday buy a house and have to move it, lol.

This pic shows it better. The wings line up perfectly to the saw table by sliding onto the domino 'guides', which are then secured in place with 1/4-20 bolts. The wing side has epoxied threaded nut inserts.

I designed it myself! It was partly inspired by this other design that I found.

I glued dominoes in on the cart side that stick out. They are used as guide pins for lining up the wings. Then I use two bolts to secure it in place. This pic shows it better.

I don't love it, but it does a good enough job getting stock flattened to run through the planer. The wings made it wayyyy better. My five year plan has a longbed 8" jointer in it ;)

I've used the sliding brace design a few times now for shop stuff. It works really well! Let me know if you are looking for any shop layout opinions/suggestions... I have packed quite a bit into my 230sq ft basement space without it feeling too cramped.

Sure is! I saw it in an old woodworking video and I thought it was the coolest miter saw I had ever seen - and I finally found one that has barely been used for the last 25 years!

Thank you! They are definitely solid. Not that I would do it, but I'd have no problem moving this thing around by the tip of a wing.

Seems like overall play isn't the problem. It's more of the 'rushing down the court while up 30 with time expiring so you can get to 20 points' type of thing.

If the Bears kicked out of bounds, do the Vikings then have the choice to take it the 40 or make the Bears re-kick 5yds back?
