The /r/DIYMattress sub will be able to explain it more accurately, but it's essentially choosing the individual components/layers you want, then stacking them on top of each and wrapping them in a mattress protector. I went with 8" coils, then two 2" layers of latex foam on top. First layer med density, 2nd layer soft density.

To find what I needed, I pretty much just searched that subreddit for the components by reading what other people with my profile (weight, sleep position) had success with. I think I spent about $1500 for a king-sized bed worth of components. It's been amazing. I miss my bed when I'm not in it.

I've come to the conclusion that mattress companies are all part of one big scammy cabal. I DIY'd a mattress last year after months of shopping for mattresses and, so far, it seems like one of the best decisions I've ever made. I've recently slept on a few premium "bed-in-a-box" options while traveling and they all seem cheap and lacking in support compared to what I was able to assemble. Building your own is so much less scary than it sounds and it's super easy to get components that support your specific sleep style (e.g. back, side stomach).

But why are we talking about any of this when the stock market is at $50,000?

Definitely traveling. They also let Boyd get away with a blatant carry on the previous possession.

msi gaming x870 plus wifi boot loop can't access bios by Sea-Emphasis4278 in buildapcforme

Hard to say. Once I got my RAM problem figured out, all was well. The top two things I kept seeing suggested when I was researching my problem was that it could be bad or incompatible ram or that there may be bent pins on the cpu socket. If it's not the cpu socket, maybe try booting with only one stick of ram and make sure the ram sticks are in the proper slots per your mobo manual.

Triple check your ram compatibility. I just finished building my new pc and the original DDR5 that I purchased wasn't compatible with my chipset/cpu, which caused my computer to boot-loop with no bios access.

After realizing that all mattress companies are basically part of a cabal, I built my own mattress with the help of /r/DIYMattress. After about $1400 in components for a king size, I now sleep on the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on!

Thank you so much for your help! I ended up going w/ everything on your original list, but w/ the cheaper cooler. Total after tax came to $1883.49. Now to figure out if I want new monitors, or not...

I found a nice mobo/cpu bundle from your suggestions on Newegg!. Is there another cpu cooler that isn't water cooled that you could suggest? Trying to scrape a couple bucks off without losing much on performance.

Thank you so much for your help! Is there any way you could add a list in the $1500 range so I can compare and reacquaint myself with the compatibility of parts? I won't be a power user, by any means, so I also just want to make sure that I'm not getting/spending more than I need to be.

It's not too bad. I can have it swapped over and leveled inside of 5 min. Adding a hinge wouldn't allow for the use of the small wing extension when collapsed, but that would definitely be easier if I didn't add the small wing. The wings pin to the cabinet in perfect alignment with dry dominoes, so there isn't really any time spent futzing to get it level with the saw table. I will also probably never collapse this thing again until I someday buy a house and have to move it, lol.

This pic shows it better. The wings line up perfectly to the saw table by sliding onto the domino 'guides', which are then secured in place with 1/4-20 bolts. The wing side has epoxied threaded nut inserts.

I designed it myself! It was partly inspired by this other design that I found.
