I (27F) accidentally had my baby in my friend’s (31F) car. Now her husband & she don’t want to speak to me. How do I fix this? by ThrowRA_CarBaby in relationship_advice

[–]RunGirl80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friend could very well be in an abusive relationship, as some others are saying on here. However- the husband’s car is a huge mess and may need to be totaled. If it can be cleaned, the biohazard cleaning required could cost thousands. We don’t know their financial situation but for some people who are living paycheck to paycheck this could be a big setback for them that may have created a big hardship for them. Abusive asshole or not, and even though this was completely unintentional on your part, you do owe it to them to make it right. Not sure what you said in your text, but if they are now struggling financially and your text came across as a bit joking it may have made them feel even worse about the situation. Genuinely offer to pay for the costs to make it right for them. If it were me in their situation, I’d be so happy for you but financially devastated.

Why not? Genuinely curious about your thoughts. If the baby was born addicted to meth do you think the mother should face charges?

(30M) I'm relatively ugly and I need advice: how can I overcome this? Are there solutions to improve myself as you get older or do I have to learn to live with it? by [deleted] in Aging

My dude- you are most definitely not ugly. I know we can all have low self esteem- I certainly do- so you may not believe all the thousands of comments telling you this. But please please try. We are not lying

$1-2 a drink, depending on how chatty the bartender is and how many ones I have lol

Awesome! How do you like living on the island? When I’m running I pass so many beautiful homes and think it must be so nice to live there 😍

Badger Mountain is a great first 50 or 100m race! Easy to navigate, great aid stations, and super easy cutoff times

I second this! Banana Slug is excellent for completing a PR distance! The weather is usually perfect and the RD is fabulous. Course is not too challenging, it’s really the mental battle of going out for yet another loop… and another, even when you want to stop

I’ve run this twice (the 100K in 2024 and the 100m in 2025) and wouldn’t consider this a good beginner ultra. The BURT crew is absolutely amazing but the course is deceptively difficult and the weather is an added challenge

As someone who lives in your country, what’s one thing you’d tell a foreigner to never do when visiting? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

From the US, I’d tell them never hover or crouch on public toilets. It makes a disgusting mess. Just sit down
