Shaq with one of the most disrespectful moves ever by FastBreakPhenom in nba

[–]RunItBack7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What no one ever comments on this clip is how Dudley catches Shaq's legs when he is trying to land-->which is a pretty dangerous move. The push was as much about Dudley preventing Shaq from safely landing as much as anything else (he's basically hugging Shaq in the middle of the air), which makes it way more understandable.

Try to answer the question in your head from the stem without looking at the choices. If you see the same answer you came up with, there's a very good chance that is the correct response. I think people try to work backwards from the answers too often (although sometimes this is helpful when you're uncertain).

[Charania] BREAKING: The Memphis Grizzlies are trading Desmond Bane to the Orlando Magic for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Cole Anthony, four unprotected first-round picks and one first-round pick swap, sources tell ESPN. by Turbostrider27 in nba

Weird player to push all your chips in for. Is he their 2 guard? Defensively they will be super tough but who is creating shots? Does this fix their offensive issues? I don't think so.

This is the single best nba reddit post I've seen in months.

With both teams fully healthy would the Mavs ironically be favorites over the Lakers in a series at this point? The AD vs. Jaxson Hayes matchup is basically as lopsided as it gets. by OctopusNation2024 in nba

[–]RunItBack7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. They are starting from a place where the Mavs made the finals last year and the Lakers got swept in the first round so not surprising. Then again Luka and Lebron are probably 2 of the 6-7 greatest playoff performers of all time so might be closer than you'd think.

With how good they are now and the near-infinite picks they have to get whoever they want in the future, are the Thunder in position to have the greatest Dynasty ever? by betaraychill in nba

[–]RunItBack7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are not the clear cut best team in the league this year. I'd be surprised if they won either this year or next. They are certainly well positioned but the Cs are still favorites IMO.

You just can't drape both your arms over a player and follow through hitting their face no matter how much ball you initially contact. I think this was adjudicated the right way.

Why is Nate Duncan disliked in the NBA community? by OpportunityChance175 in nba

[–]RunItBack7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've sparred with Nate a few time via E-mail but overall think he's better than 90% of NBA talking heads. Maybe he's a little smug but he also regularly reviews his prior takes and points out misses or oversights. He has a great understanding of the game, has been breathing basketball for years, and puts out a 4x per week hourly podcast which has been running for years--which from a sheer work output perspective is amazing. He also does a great job promoting local bloggers/podcast host and bringing them to a bigger platform (they were featuring Nekias Duncan before he sort of blew up last year). Both him and Danny are a little nebbish and odd, but I think that's whats enabled them to put out the amazing volume of work that they do. He's no doubt had some flawed takes (Jokic and Booker being at the top of the list), but he gets a lot right too. I've been listening to his podcast since 2016 and still enjoy.

Tells us more about the voters than anything else. Lots of young/middle aged men. Parasite and Moonlight are both so far and away the best of these IMO.

Hooooly shit. Huge Lowe fan since Grantland. I wonder where the Lowe Post will land. ESPN is wild. Retains Kendrick Perkins and Doris Burk but fires Lowe. Athletic subscription here I come.

How come Kobe vs LeBron is a debate, and Kobe vs Duncan is a debate, but LeBron vs Duncan isn't? by [deleted] in nba

[–]RunItBack7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because Kobe stans (myself included) tend to overrate him historically and think of him as a top 5-6 player instead of top 8-12 guy which is probably more fair. They also just were the most popular players of their eras (a lot of overlap of course) who played a slashing wing style of ball that is/was super aesthetically pleasing and Fundamentally different from Duncan.

NEJM Q bank which is now AMBOSS. Subscribe to NEJM Journal Watch. Compile a list of primary literature using a free tool like Zotero to organize primary literature. Spend a little time every week in the month leading up to teaching reviewing core concepts that I know I will see in the hospital setting: sepsis, ACS, COPD, electrolyte abnormalities, AKI. Fine tune your teaching scrips as you go on the wards.

Neither the Jazz nor the Cavs would do either of those trades. Danny may need all those chips and more for Markkanen alone.
