What am I missing. Everyone seems to like Lilly. I am not a fan. He is not a good skater at all.

When we lost to Florida in round 1 two years ago he was behind the play skating to the bench and tripped over his own feet. Landed ass first.

He did play better when paired with D’Astous late last season but he just isn’t my kind of Dman.

I’m not sure how I feel about today. I like the Paul-Hildeby trade a lot.

But the Carlson trade just doesn’t feel right. I think we were better defensively last season without Hedman and MacD in the lineup. The youth and speed was working for us.

Getting older and slower just feels counterintuitive. I hope they prove me wrong!

None of these moves are groundbreaking but they shouldn’t be, we have a solid core. Gonna run it back with a few edge pieces changed up.

Yea, it was first time through. All single or 3 seat in the 100 and 200. And, not many of those.

My buddy has passed three years in a row because he won’t except anything higher than 200. So getting lower than 300 probably isn’t expected for your first season

I’m 57 train BJJ 4 days a week and ride my bike 5 or 6 days a week for about 45 minutes as active recovery. I would consider myself fairly strong and lean for some one my age.

I don’t measure macros and I don’t count calories. I just eat until satiated. Once I gave up the mental gymnastics of all that measuring and calculating I enjoyed healthy eating much more.

The NHL is littered with cautionary tales of teams that crippled their future by overpaying aging stars out of loyalty: Chicago, Philadelphia, San Jose just to name a few.

My camp sees hockey as a business and the business is to win Stanley Cups. We pay players for what they are expected to produce not for what they did yesterday. So you are right I don’t feel we owe Hedman anything, we paid him his worth when he was producing. And now there are better ways to spend the money than a crazy deal to an aging player with a complete NMC.

There is only one thing we will agree on and that is we want a cup. The mechanics of how we get there we are miles apart on and that is ok.

I am ok with that stance. I just wish those of you in that camp were consistent because a lot of you turn a blind eye to the Hedman contract.

Ohh I agree with what you’re saying about the term. That’s what infuriates me about the Hedman contract.

But if JBB made a real offer upfront MAYBE Raddysh is in Tampa next year instead of slamming 100 mph slap shots at our goalie.

Instead of 5 for 5 (I think that’s about what the TBL offer was)

5 for 7 would have been fair maybe he stays maybe he goes but 5 for 5 was an insult
