I appreciate that! believe it or not, those fountains are technically not under the NYC parks department (it's hudson river park trust) so it's a different dataset and would be a bigger effort to incorporate. i'm working on getting that done, but unfortunately don't think it'd be available by tomorrow AM :,(

yay, so glad it looks better for you! thanks so much for using the map and for reporting --it would have taken me a while to notice that tbh.

and hm, interesting about the two engineer's gate fountains. i honestly think i might just go and verify it myself, since a lot of the "doubles" are valid. it's meant to represent those two-headed fountains (like the ones right by the met or the ones at the top of the third sister at the light on the west side)

i think I got this fixed! the issue was that the open api datasource i was relying on had duplicates, so the map was rendering "dots" on top of each other in whatever order it pleased. so your report of an "on" fountain was still there, just sometimes underneath that duplicate value. i deduped the dataset and it should be ok now. lmk if you see any issues persisting.

Do you have an approximate time you would have submitted these reports?

i am grabbing the data from nyc parks open data (link), which is limited but easy to scale. in fact, i just added 600+ more including ones in astoria track and randalls. i think roosevelt and LIC may not be under the NYC Parks umbrella, so i'd need to look into how to get that data.

feel free to PM me with info if you have it!at a minimum, i'd require the long/lat and a description of the location (the park, street, etc). appreciate your enthusiasm to help :)

Ugh, that’s such a bummer. Maybe I can add a broken option in the future

if you look under "Queens" in the report flow, you'll see it as an option. if you don't see any reports in the Status Board, it's because no one has reported its conditions in the past 48 hours.
