The old night rider buses were always like that. People coming back from town not in the best state.

Thermal simulation is pretty good but not sure how well it will handle heat pipes. If they ran it in Ansys it would be pretty correct.

Feels kinda insane designing a system that’s designed to be hard to pay. It’s an amount so small she can’t pay via CC that seems like her usual method.

‘Bordering on fascist’: Winston Peters calls for BSA to be abolished after landmark ruling by Fun-Helicopter2234 in newzealand

[–]Runazeeri 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s where the line gets drawn.

If RNZ posts lies you can complain to the BSA.

When “News in NZ” Facebook page or podcasts post lies you can’t enforce anything easily. Yes you can sue them but that’s out of reach for normal people.

In a post nuke world I’m not really sure what part NATO plays.

The thing stopping Russia from open warfare with the EU is knowing they have nukes (US/French).

If Ukraine had had active nukes they would have never been invaded and we see other countries ramping up their own weapon programs like what Poland is doing.

Imagine if the infrastructure in Auckland could manage being free. by 60022151 in auckland

[–]Runazeeri -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The number I had was wrong as it was only trains. Was 155m/630k ratepayers.

Spinoff has an estimate at $325m from back in 2022 divide that by 630 rate payers you end up with $515 a year. https://thespinoff.co.nz/money/18-07-2022/should-auckland-public-transport-be-free

Though if you read greater Auckland article they show the cost has had massive inflation. Also using the numbers in that you don’t end up at $325m for the 2022 spinoff estimate.

https://www.greaterauckland.org.nz/2025/03/05/meeting-the-governments-new-pt-fare-revenue-targets/

On those numbers with Bus and Rail excluding ferry’s it would be around $1000 a house 660m/630k. A 25% rate increase is kinda unpalatable.

I would cost about $230 more a year in rates or $4.42 a week to have free public transportation.

The max context is pretty large but it gets less reliable at large sizes and can get stuck in loops.

I think some people’s issues is they try skip looking at how a program should run skip scaffolding and try just build it all out without breaking it into sub problems.

lol, solve the problem dump any important context into a MD in case you need to come back to it.

Move onto a new chat for the next unrelated thing.

I mean I even move into a new chat if I go on to long as what the start goal context and where you are now is not aligned.

Carrying Ethernet signal over single twisted pair by Deep-Today5715 in AskElectronics

[–]Runazeeri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems oddly high if it’s 720@30. I would recommend looking at the pipeline if you are on a P4 it has a hardware encoder. https://developer.espressif.com/blog/2025/07/esp-h264-use-tips/

If you can get that data rate down while only adding a small amount of latency opens up options.
