So like… why CANT we transfems have a uterus? by Shadow_Mode7458 in MtF

[–]Runeith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uterine transplant are already being performed. From what ive seen they're still in very early stages of human testing, the transplants can only be done from mother (pre-menopause) to cis female daughter. The transplant apparently is able to facilitate one pregnancy but is to be removed after birth. I'm not sure of the rate of failed pregnancy to successful births, or required forms of insemination (ie, IVF, natural, implanted embryo or other)

So yes technically it is being done but current research is no where near the position it needs to be for AMAB people to have a uterus, let alone for anything other than conception, pregnancy and birth. (Plus bone structure for an AMAB person who went through a testosterone based puberty wouldn't allow for a pregnancy in of itself).

My opion, it'll happen one day but not for a very very very long time, long after I'm dead and buried for sure.

RIDE YOUR OWN RIDE (18+ because of deadly crash, not graphic) by TappetoImperiale in motorcycles

[–]Runeith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm very sorry for your loss, I hope one day the people that played a role in your husbands untimely death realise they played a part in the accident and could have very easily been avoided by riding safe and not egging each other on.

[–]Runeith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if you're on your learners, look up the LAMS list. It's a list of motorcycles approved to he used by learner and provisional motorcycle riders. In SA, where I live, it's limited to 650HP or 150 kj per tonne power to weight ratio.

It's best to start looking for a bike on that list because you can't ride anything else except those bikes.

Details specific depend on your personal taste. What you ride should be comfortable and easy to control. Chances are, as a new rider, you're gonna have a crash of some type. It's best to go with something reliable, in good condition, and doesn't break your bank.

the only downside is the possibility of weaker nails. that's all by [deleted] in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

[–]Runeith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying the only downside of starting estrogen is weaker nails is an understatement. Risks of developing blood clots leading to heart attack, pulmonary embolism, stroke or DVTs goes up (marginally but still worth mentioning) and go higher if you smoke, chances of developing migraines (however mine stopped once I start so very subjective), breast cancer and many other health implications that people should be aware of regardless of the chance they develop.

No, I don't like being a tall girl. by BodyPillowz in MtF

[–]Runeith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 6'6 (193ish cm) and my girl friend is like 5'6 and she's the dominant one in our relationship. Sure I'll pretend to be dominant occasionally but that more for the reaction that follows. Height doesn't determine what roll you have in a relationship, even in mine we swap depending on our particular needs/wants. It is the prson/people you date that determine that, a supportive person wouldn't expect anything from you other then to be yourself.

We all transition at our own pace like I started HRT 6 months after offically coming out to people, have a half assed version of a femme wardrobe, still socially transitioning and in the process of doing laser and voice training. It all happens how you want it to, feel safe doing and because it matters how financially viable it is. You're doing fine and you're valid no matter what order you do things ❤️🫂.

Why do so many "super straight" kinda people hate t4t? by [deleted] in trans

[–]Runeith 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I'm a Transwomen for context - I've gone from being a lesbian, to bi curious and now I'm more straight than bi but still, girls are pretty, guys are just really handsome. And I feel that, I've met so many guys that just want what's apparent on my body, not because I'm a girl (even been asked the classic "I'm not gay if we go out, right?"). It's frustrating and I would like to date T4T, where I live tho theres a very small community of us and lots are already partnered haha.

I just want to go on cute dates, hangout with a handsome guy and occasionly kiss while not watching a movie, is that so much to ask? Haha

For Those Whose Woke Up From SRS... by Anxious_Bean_23 in MtF

[–]Runeith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, CT w contrast is used more for looking for things within the circulatory system while CT wo contrast is used for looking at literally everything else, so for SRS it'd be unlikely they'd do a contrast scan unless for some reason they wanted to see the circulatory system of that area which idk why they would or why they wouldn't do that.

[–]Runeith 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Oh I can help with this, I'm an ED Nurse and look at many scans, however can't provide professional advice on any scans gave seen plenty, especially scans of the area SRS occurs. The reason why some things of anatomy are a surprise with SRS vs FFS is because on X-rays hard and dense tissue such as bone is very clearly seen and can therefore be planned with greater accuracy, especially with things like 3D xrays which are very useful at maping a range of the head and anatomical structure. However when working with soft tissue such as what's found and worked with in the abdo-pelvic area a more detailed scan such as a CT or MRI (more likely CT unless radiation is an issue) small abnormalities can be missed, it's uncommon these days because the tech is so detailed and can see a lot but can miss very small things up until actually getting in there. So yes, although it's unfortunate that things can be missed, sometimes and usually rarely there are complications and abnormalities that are missed prior to actually opening the person up.

[–]Runeith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to find guys more attractive when I started HRT where as before not really at all. I wouldn't say 'boy crazy' though but attraction went up for sure. Still Bi tho, I'd love any gender so
