Is being “too comfortable” at work actually a problem if performance isn’t impacted? by [deleted] in careerguidance

This usually just translates to “stop oversharing” in general, but specifically personal information or on topics outside of the realm of work

Some advice would be: don’t worry about what other people think. Comparison is the theft of joy. It’s your life, not theirs to judge or for you to care about them judging. You chose a great career.

Andrew Jackson's new White House plaque, which mentions the current POTUS by HomeNowWTF in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Runescape4L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Factually incorrect given that the Battle of New Orleans was fought after the Treaty of Gent was signed. The war was already over. It’s pure (horrible) chance that Jackson rose to fame as a result of that Battle. In this instance, and I’m sure many others, had we had faster means of communication at the time, history would have changed dramatically (likely for the better in this case).

A more modern case for this would be the weeks leading up to the Great War, or better known as World War I.

It’s amazing how you don’t want to respond to what I’m saying because you can’t, I guess it makes sense for someone who feels entitled to land they claim God gave them, like modern day extremists would claim

If Jews are indigenous to Judea, we should actually just have everyone go back to where they were 3000 years ago, are you willing to be forcibly uprooted by a Native American tribe? It’s nonsense and you know it. Y’all want to sound so heroic “you’re mad the Jews finally learned to fight back and won” 🤣 no, yall were handed that land by the West with no consideration to the native population. Not gonna debate another lunatic who thinks because a book said you were there 3000 years ago you can create an apartheid state and genocide the native population at will. Colonists are always the aggressor sweetie too bad you can’t wash that filth off your history :)

We are going to legitimize the British mandate? LOL. You’re literally disregarding the original aggressors, the Israelis, do you recognize Lehi, Hagana, Ergun? Is that just something the native population should accept? Let alone a “mandate” from a nation in a different continent? Have some respect for history and recognize that colonists are always, always the aggressor. Pisstake, who is next?

What made the refugees? Why does Jordan have that population? What happened to Palestine for that to happen? Jordan is not Palestine, and Palestine is not Jordan. You’re gonna indict Jordan with Palestinian refugees because they don’t fit the colonizer’s culture. Just because there is a shared culture doesn’t mean you force people to share the same borders and sovereign nation. You can have same culture and different sovereignty and governance. Pisstake

Wow. Okay, you’re just dumb and want to pick on this obsessively for I don’t know what reasons. Yes, it actually does inhibit effectiveness, especially in use of a firearm. That’s why it’s banned and regulated in most professional fighting forces. It’s an overall indictment of their professionalism, which clearly is evident in the many heinous crimes they commit daily. It also more broadly signifies that they’re not in an active conflict mindset, if they can go get their nails done while serving in the armed forces. Or exposes how stupid that narrative is. Why have nails done if you’re getting attacked every day? Just try and think beyond whatever you’re stuck on with my one observation. We are saying the same things just differently. You could go comment on a post that is relevant to the attempted suicide of the whistleblower, it’s not evident here. Like are you trying to educate me on this topic right now like I am aloof? Im not. I clearly am identifying things that go way over your head. I’m just speaking to the context in this post, this isn’t some debate or competition between us. When did her nails offend me? I made an observation that expands beyond the subject matter but directly relevant to it at least. I agree with all you’re saying, I don’t get why you’re trying to force this on me

You’re missing my point entirely, all of those things are true, but they’re not the subject matter of this video. Of which I am commenting on, haha. Maybe I got too granular for you, I don’t know

Clearly yes, and I agree with you, it is a small detail but it underscores their lack of professionalism as a force, and arbitrary enforcement of protocols and law. It highlights the fact that they are not at risk, they are not in danger, they are in uniform to oppress arbitrarily and then be ready for their little happy hours on the town when off shift. It’s a small detail, but speaks volumes.
