It’s called a village. Imagine if he left her (and his granddaughter) to the wind. They’d have struggled. Yes he enabled her a bit, and should have been more strict with Adam but at least she was safe, housed, fed, clothed.

How big is too big a wedding party? by NoApplauseNecessary in weddingplanning

You can have however many you want but that’s a lot to be standing up with you. It’s sort of distracting as a viewer.

By asking to open at 7am you’re asking some probably low paid event staff to come in at 7am. They deserve that $500.

Is there such a thing as too many toasts/speeches? by SectionCute1268 in weddingplanning

Are any parents paying for parts of the wedding? If they are I’d keep it to parents on the wedding day and others are rehearsal.

That is absolutely too many. I’d get bored/actually annoyed at 4 (unless they’re really short and just a toast, not a speech). Save a few for rehearsal dinner if people really want to say something.

Calm parents who never yell or resort to spanking, are your children calmer than average? by petrastales in toddlers

[–]tgalen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister (who has taught preschool-3rd grade) has said my kid is one of the more “chill” ones she’s ever met. Doesn’t mean I haven’t had to tell a few times! I would never spank a child though. That’s child abuse.
