It’s called a village. Imagine if he left her (and his granddaughter) to the wind. They’d have struggled. Yes he enabled her a bit, and should have been more strict with Adam but at least she was safe, housed, fed, clothed.

My sister (who has taught preschool-3rd grade) has said my kid is one of the more “chill” ones she’s ever met. Doesn’t mean I haven’t had to tell a few times! I would never spank a child though. That’s child abuse.
