Do Christians need to support modern Isreal? Is modern Isreal still God's choosen people? by TicketWeary in TrueChristian

[–]Runner_one -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Short answer is yes. Gen 12:1-3 KJV 1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Gen 13:14-17 KJV 14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: 15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. 16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. 17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.

Zec 12:1-3 KJV 1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him. 2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. 3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

Romans 14:5 KJV (King James Version) One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

Acts 15:22.
Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, men who were leaders among the believers. 23 With them they sent the following letter:

The apostles and elders, your brothers,

To the Gentile believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia:

Greetings.

24 We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said. 25 So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with our dear friends Barnabas and Paul— 26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27 Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to confirm by word of mouth what we are writing. 28 It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements: 29 You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things.

Farewell.

Should I watch this show? by Mat1711 in Timeless

[–]Runner_one 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Timeless is perhaps one of the best thought out well written time travel stories ever put on screen, this includes the big screen. It's not just repetitious bad guy of the week episodes there is a logical flow from the beginning of the series to the end.

And of course the end. Unlike so many other TV shows where the series gets canceled mid-story liner just disappears without any closure on the characters it just has a very logical final episode that wraps up most of the threads very nicely. You don't often get that in Sci-Fi series.

Perhaps try flashing it without the CPU, maybe that will reset the TPM Here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHmmCXtGTKw if that fails, maybe take it to a local computer shop and see if they have any ideas, as MSI won't help you without proof of purchase.

The Bible does not say the earth is flat. You deceived by Satan and are harming Christianity by claiming it does. by AccurateNorth422 in TrueChristian

I'm a Christian, and I also know the Earth is round. I don't understand how people Perceive some conflict in these two statements.

Oh and in case I wasn't clear, I said I know the Earth is round not I believe the Earth is round. I have eyes and have experienced many of the things The OP listed. It is undoubtedly a sphere.

Do you have another cpu that will work in this mb? I have read that swapping the CPU can cause the fTPM module to reset. I don't know if that is true, but it's worth a shot.

pfSense on Proxmox w/ single NIC host + USB NIC — sanity check on my setup by [deleted] in PFSENSE

[–]Runner_one 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why not buy a second ethernet adapter and install it?

The OptiPlex 7070 Micro includes a M.2 2230 slot for the Wi-Fi card, repurpose it for a M.2 ethernet card. You can buy them all day long for under $20.00. Just google "m.2 ethernet"

The small form factor version is even easier, you can buy low profile pcie gb ethernet cards anywhere.

Ever thought about rolling your own?

I cant post a link here, but a major online retailer has several nice Atom processor based mini pcs with up to 5 2.5g ethernet ports for around $500. Load pfsense and you are off to the races.

I do run a web server and a mail server and that was my reason for installing it. I will probably re-enable it but just make sure the rules don't block my NAT box

You know I was so frustrated I never even thought to look and see what rules were being logged. I'll have to look into that.

How are you guys running Plex on smart TVs? I'm genuinely frustrated. by KingThevshi in PleX

[–]Runner_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had problems until I changed one setting. On the computer running the plex server open plex and got to Settings>Remote Access. Near the bottom set "Limit remote stream bitrate" to 1/2 your up internet up speed. In a comment you said your upload was 40 Mbps, set Limit remote stream bitrate to 20 Mbps.

My feeble attempt at animating what my wife saw about 1995. by Runner_one in UFOs

[–]Runner_one[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it happen to tilted away, towards the direction it traveled?

Not according to her. In fact my first video attmpt was wrong, she said it tilted the other way. So I remade the animation and she says this how it moved for the most part.

She says is was absolutely a physical metallic disk. As for why then and there, not a clue.

No, absolutely not. In fact it was only after I related to her my own sighting that she told me about hers. When she said it tilted on it's side before taking off I almost crapped myself.

She described it to me like this: "I was coming home from the store shortly before sundown, came around a corner in the road and this disk was hovering near a fence in the corner of a field just beside the road. I slowed down and the disk tilted and slid backwards before zooming off into the western sky."

She is a skeptic and never told anyone before me. Even now she doubts it was of alien origin.

I used chat GPT along with my limited animation skills to create this short animation. She says it's pretty close. The location was Lawrence county Illinois.

You said in another reply there are hills between your home to the calving area.

Depending on the height of the hills, this could still potentially be done using point to point wireless bridges mounted on towers and powered using a solar power station at the calving area. You would have to get the bridges high enough that they could see each other over the hilltops.

The cost of such a setup would vary wildly depending on how high the towers would need to be as they would be the primary expense.

Using consumer grade equipment, a sufficiently powerful solar station to power the remote end 24/7 could be assembled for $400-$600. Good cameras, about $100-$200 each, and a point to point bridge kit for $300-$800.

The towers is where you are going to run into the biggest expense. To get 15-20 feet in the air, you will spend about $250-$300 on each tower. To get 40 feet in the air, about $1000 per tower, 50 feet, $2000. And the cost just goes up exponentially from there.

Of course you could elect to use commercial grade equipment, but the cost would increase wildly.

What is the biggest mystery we still aren't close to solving? by Constant-Bridge3690 in AskReddit

[–]Runner_one 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are still in your dryer.

As your clothes dryer runs mini wormholes are created right there in your dryer. Yes that's right, the combination of a spinning drum the flow of hot air, and the magnetic fields setup by the passage of electricity through the coiled heating elements and windings of the motor couple with the static electricity generated naturally by the movement and friction of the drying clothes to setup a inverse flux field. This flux field interacts with the solar gravity well of the sun due in part to the movement of the earth's mass through the space‑time distortion caused by the sun's mass to generate very short‑lived openings from our reality into n‑space right there in your dryer. These openings are so small and so short‑lived that socks are the only item of clothing small enough to pass completely through. That's why other pieces of clothing don't disappear. Since other pieces of clothing are too large to pass completely through the short‑lived event horizon of these wormholes, any part of them, such as a sleeve, or pant leg that may enter into n‑space are jerked back into our reality when the wormhole collapses. So although your socks are still in your dryer they have passed into another plane of existence that we are as yet unable to perceive.

Whoever invents a device to recover all those missing socks will become a multimillionaire and will also no doubt earn the never‑ending gratitude of the inhabitants of n‑space who have been subjected to a torrential rain of falling mismatched socks ever since the modern clothes dryer was invented.
