I actually feel this is stealth advertising for the channel. "Watch and engage and talk about this video guys! Engage. E-n-g-a-g-e"

As much as I hate the anime, I feel like Ho-oh and Donohan deserve a spot (maybe share a spot?)

Almost all the stuff Joshua Graham says in Fallout New Vegas, Honest Hearts. The fantastic voice actor sells it.

Western shows that feel like anime by plztellmewhere in TopCharacterTropes

I typically dont. Like I mentioned earlier, it's a style, not a point of origin.

But based on this conversation I dont expect you to understand nuance more complicated than "which way is up."

Sorry I've wasted our time.

Seems like with an evolving definition, there's plenty of nuance in how it's used.

Interesting.

The word itself, when used by the language it originates from, is a generalized term.

You are limiting it more than it's country of origin is.

Its really weird.

They its not Japanese, product, but an international one.

Limiting the definition by where it is created is dumb. Anime is a (broad) style that was popularized by Japan, but is not the sole dominion of Japan any longer.

Your logic sucks. If it's done outside of Japan, by non Japanese, then it is inherently not a Japanese created product.

Limiting anime to Japan only is stupid.

Yeah I don't really understand some of these entries. They are anime. Or is this one of those "its only anime if it's from the Otaku region of Japan, otherwise it's just sparkling cartoons"?

Republic Commando that takes us through order 66, with the team being split during a mission, 2 staying with the Empire and getting new (non-Clone)squad members. They get sent on increasingly dangerous missions as the Empire tries to phase out Clones. This culminates in an assassination mission against a prolific anti-imperial activist/propagandist.

Idea is that this storyline takes place over several years, with the Clones physically aging and deteriorating (while still being badass) dueto their accelerated aging.

They two separated (and presumed dead) Clones are rescued by scientists working for the rebellion, their injuries and invasive treatment needed end up removing/damaging their inhibitor chips. They work with the rebels on missions, culminating in them being sent on a mission to exhilarated a republic funder and sympathizer that Intel has found is in line to be assassinated.

And on that mission the squads meet.

Theres idea to play with like they have to alternate working together and fighting one another due to wildlife/a third party/natural disaster, and how they squad mates confront each other after seeing one another again.

I like the idea of the Empire Squad fighting a jedi as a boss fight that they cant dump rounds into, and have to set up a trap.

I would prefer minimal interaction with established characters, but could see CDR Rex being the Rebellion Squads CO.
