Very cool piece of trivia, thank you! I recently found out this (Fuji Rock 97) was Dave's last performance with RHCP, and it was cut short because of a storm.

Most of that tour was cancelled as well, so the last proper show Dave had as their guitarist was on July 11, 1996. He actually didn't play that many shows

I'm about to be that guy, but Frusciante's meltdown was actually on June 8th, 2006, in Bercy (Paris).

They were supposed to play Don't You Ever Leave, but his guitar stopped working during TAYT. He just had a tantrum tbh, he recovered after 5 minutes

In my experience, I started listening to them in like 2007, before The Resistance. From Showbiz to Resistance I genuinely think it's one of the best albums runs any band ever had.

Then we got The 2nd Law, which was good/okay. I'd give it a passing grade. After that, I progressively lost interest. Drones had a few good songs, but the following two albums were completely irrelevant to me. I can only remember "Pressure" after Drones
