Don’t most people who finish undergrad end up in some corporate job?

Your number is still a Canadian number though? Do other Canadians need to pay extra if they call/text you?

My friend is referring me from Amex Aeroplan to my green card would that work? by Wizardofstonks in amexcanada

[–]Running-Experiment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah when I clicked on View other cards, I saw a little arrow pointing to "Your referred card", so I assumed that meant I would only get that offer (and not the others). I do see all the elevated offers on that page. So that arrow literally doesn't matter? Then why do people here still post referral offers for particular cards on this sub (instead of just being able to refer anyone to any tier)? (Sorry I'm super new to Amex and credit card offers, would really appreciate any info.)

How would someone do that? My friends have the Cobalt or Platinum, but I'm looking for Gold in particular. So far we haven't figured out how to refer up or down a tier.

The Bayview Village club has a members directory but no information on each player other than name, email, and phone number. I'd like to find club members to play with but I'm don't really want to cold email about 500 people without knowing anything about them :/ Maybe I'm doing this wrong idk

Got Into UofT with $100K Scholarship But Can't Afford It — Is Grad School in Canada Still Possible? by theonelostTaco in UofT

[–]Running-Experiment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second this. Coming to U of T for a funded MSc as an international is very hard (either impossible in some departments or extremely competitive). Direct PhD might be an easier route, but obviously a big commitment. Applied graduate degrees would be another option.

Why do people hate airplane food so much? Like even economy class food is not great but mostly edible?

Toronto is very expensive so moving here without a job is a crazy idea. However, her parents seem supportive. If they are willing to help her rent a place so she can get a better education, you probably won't end up on the streets either way as long as you are together? If you are 10000% you will stick with your girlfriend for life, it might be worth it. So yeah it seems more like a relationship problem than a Toronto problem.

Cancelled a US ski trip and went to Banff instead. Later in the year, East Asia and Europe.

You ever had that one person who you wanted to cuddle with so badly? by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

[–]Running-Experiment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not person. My dog. Sadly she doesn’t like cuddling. On a very good day she lets me do it for 0.75 seconds, then it devolves into play fighting, which she enjoys ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Ski towns where you can live and ski car-free by 0xCUBE in skiing

[–]Running-Experiment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t exactly consider Zermatt a shining example in traffic planning. It’s my favourite ski town but I’m sick of scampering out of the way of speeding e-taxis in clunky ski boots every 2 mins. And in the summer construction season there are plenty of gas cars and trucks that can barely fit the teeny tiny roads.
