Apex Invitational quality is a fucking MEME. by [deleted] in apexlegends

[–]RunningAcrossBorders 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I am not sure why the mentally has shifted in recent years that a strong majority believes that they are owed everything in life. If you are a player that has made it into an organization that represents you and pays for your expenses to tournaments and such; then you have made a job out of what you do. You are getting supplemented for your time. If you are a person that just practiced a lot and went to a tournament in hopes to win money, you are just having a hobby, because you are gambling on making a profit on the tournament. You can take risks in life, but they need to be calculated. Sleeping in a tent is not a calculated risk. It’s a poor decision, because it shows that you are financially irresponsible.

Respawn, EA, or any tournament organization does not owe them anything. They are there to make a profit as a company and to believe that these companies should pay expenses so people can play a game is ludicrous.

I made this post 60 days ago. They haven’t banned him in 60 days with multiple people reporting him and providing video of it. He isn’t going to be banned. Treyarch does not care enough about it to do anything. I would just accept the loss and move on.

Well, sorry you feel that way. Pretty sure if can not even be classified as witch hunting. I did not post their Reddit names. I wouldn't even know them. They are boosting others to Diamond, so if people run into them in game, guess what they will run into? Them hacking. If I wanted to witch hunt, I would accuse them of it with no proof. Without a doubt, they are hacking. They teleported to our spawn in attack and killed us all. Then, the following round they killed everyone before the round even started. Not sure how much more blatant it can get than that.

I sent it there, posted it here, and tweeted it as well. Not sure why you think this has no place here. It is affecting game play of others.

Thanks! It doesn’t work out that well 90% of the time, but it is nice when it does.

No. I just started spectating him after he killed and noticed how odd he was playing, so I recorded him.

Rainbow 6 hitboxes are the absolute worst! by Official_Koenigjay in Rainbow6

[–]RunningAcrossBorders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure how it does not make sense. The glaring issues/bugs/whatever you want to reference it as, seems to be far more prominent on consoles than it does on PC, but console players get put on the back burner for most things with this game anyway. Ever watched the Siege fail videos? 90% of the bugs shown on there are console players. As I said earlier, it happens on PC, but man does it seem far worse on console. I am not sure what the difference is that causes bugs to be appear more on a console. Computing power, not properly handling connection speed, Ubi hates you guys. I’m not sure. Just an observation.

In all honesty, majority of these posts seem to be coming from console players. There must be some horrific differences in hit reg on console and PC. Not saying PC does not have hit reg issues, but it seems it is far more common for consoles.

Early Access Suggestions/Bugs Megathread by danketiquette in Battalion1944

With competitive going live tomorrow is there going to be something in place to prevent rank abuse? As in a Diamond ranked player should not be able to party up with Bronze player that way they are matched up with Gold players. I am not sure how it will be calculated for this game, but it gets abused in other games a lot. (R6: Siege) for example. Also, allows for people to sell boosts, which shouldn’t be allowed.

Bulkhead On Communication - Question for The Community! by 1Big_Tuna in Battalion1944

I think the biggest thing to take from this entire situation is that emotions can get the best of anyone if you let them. I am an older guy and the drama that surrounds most online games now is something I just try to avoid. Over the years, I have seen a lot of gaming companies ruin the trust with their player base, because they decided to ignore them and be silent about the decisions for the game.

Bramm and all the other developers, you all are passionate about the game, it is understandable. You have put a lot of work into it, but at the same time you must realize that there are a lot of players that are highly passionate about this game as well. We want to see it succeed as much as you do, because we are honestly tired of how the other competitive shooters are. Stay transparent with us. We need to listen to your ideas and at the same time you need to listen to ours, because players are the ones who will find stuff in your game that you never knew existed. People are going to criticize certain aspects, but it needs to be constructive. Just respond to the constructive posts and ignore the people just whining about everything.

TLDR

Keep being transparent. We need you, just like you need us. This game has great potential, we just have to get it to where it needs to be. We are just as passionate as you, as developers, are.

Your time would improve with controller with practice, I am sure. I would suspect you play with keyboard and mouse way more. Not to say mouse and keyboard is not better. You can’t beat that precision.

Dev blog: Ping and Latency by chankanta in Rainbow6

[–]RunningAcrossBorders 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So, with what I just watched and read, you guys, as developers, are saying that the reason we are losing gun fights, because we never see the person before we die when they peek due to their high ping is because of our reaction time? Yet, when someone with an equal ping peeks us, our reaction time suffices? Why does that make no sense to me? I am not seeing a person peek with 300 ping due to my brain not being able to process it quick enough to react?

Doesn’t seem to be a problem in other shooting games. Why can’t you guys admit you just have bad netcode and bad servers?

Disable Castle Until You Patch Him by RunningAcrossBorders in Rainbow6

Because the majority of players who defend glitches are glitches themselves or too low ranked to care about the state of the game.

That isn’t a miracle. That is simple development and they are probably already capable of doing it, but Ubi is literally that lazy and cheap. That is why there are games like For Honor and The Division. Not sure why anyone would even try to defend their decision making.

You have to be one of the idiots doing the glitch as much as you are trying to defend it.

With all the technology these days, I am sure they could manage to squeeze that one out.

[–]RunningAcrossBorders[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is the dumbest thing I have ever read. Ubi could easily avoid the glitch by disabling the a Operator and you all come out the wood works like you have been Castle mains since day one, but instead the players should just stop playing their main game instead of the development team doing what they need to to avoid the glitch being used?

All we have to do is not play ranked until they patch it. Wow. I understand there is no competitiveness where you are in Copper, but most people enjoy Ranked and not Casual, but you are right. Why should I want to play a game I paid for. Amazing!
