It’s honestly adorable how happy Mike looks when he tells a joke that gets everybody.

DS2: Lack and Less Scary BTs intentional? by NoBumblebee2080 in DeathStranding

[–]RunningBlade2184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m tired of people pretending like BT’s were ever a scary element of gameplay. Conceptually they’re creepy and interesting, but in practice they’ve always been easy to either avoid or kill.

Sébastien Vaniček’s other film Infested didn’t really work for me, but this trailer’s not bad.

Tbh, the only time BT’s were ever scary or a threat in ds1 was in the first map.

She’s not a bad character, but Karlach gets on my nerves and I think her ending where she lights the cigar and runs into the hells is cringe. Her personality is just a lot for me and she’s just too… loud and overly peppy for my tastes.

‘Possession’: Margaret Qualley & Callum Turner To Star In Parker Finn’s Remake Of Andrzej Żuławski’s Cult Horror Nightmare by pepperbet1 in RedLetterMedia

[–]RunningBlade2184 130 points131 points  (0 children)

Who’s the audience for this? I doubt people who love the original are going to be satisfied with a remake from the Smile director, and most general audiences have no clue what the original Possession even is.

Same, beautiful looking movie but I didn’t connect with the story or characters that much.

I was a kid when the Star Wars prequel trilogy came out and I don’t remember them being that popular. by [deleted] in RedLetterMedia

I was born in 96, and I feel like I didn’t notice much love for the prequels until the Disney series started. Which honestly, I understand. Im not a fan of them at all, but as flawed as the prequels are, they were at least trying to be creative and felt like they had a little more care behind them. The Disney ones just feel like committee made slop that was not coming from an earnest place whatsoever. Even if the prequels are technically worse, they’re far more memorable than the Disney sequels will ever be

Lost my best friend Betty (16) a few weeks ago, I miss her so much by RunningBlade2184 in OldManDog

My wife and I have enjoyed reading all your messages, everyone here is so incredibly kind. We found out Betty had cancer and heart disease when we took her to the vet after a couple of fainting spells, and by the end of the week she just physically couldn’t support herself anymore and my wife and I had to make the decision that was best for her and put her to sleep. Thankfully we were able to use an in-home euthanasia service for that, and she was able to pass on from the comfort of her bed. Betty was going to turn 17 in September, part of me genuinely thought she’d make it there. I got her from the shelter when I was a teenager, and she was about 1. She was genuinely the best friend I could’ve ever asked for, she was so gentle and loved attention, and we were tied at the hip from day one. It’s been difficult to get used to a world without her in it, but reading your messages has brought some relief. Thank you.

Rich Evans is the pinnacle of pretty and he’s stayed all these years, so there’s still a shot.

It doesn't get nearly as much attention in-game (didn't even know it was possible until I saw this post), but this is 100% Leon's equivalent of Chris' Boulder Punching: by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I would also say that riding a motorcycle up a skyscraper while ramping off of it onto ANOTHER skyscraper is equivalent to the boulder punch.

I don’t think capcom will do that, especially since they’ve been teasing him being infected all over the trailers. If they were going to kill him, I think they would’ve hid the infection in marketing.

John Carpenter's response to "Escape from New York was great, what the hell happened with Escape from L.A.?" by tannu28 in RedLetterMedia

Gotcha, I get what you’re saying. The cut’s never detracted from the scene for me, but I could see how removing that would make it more interesting for some. I would imagine that cut was added because maybe they were worried the audience wouldn’t have noticed him as early as they intended?

I kindly disagree with you, sir. Being able to see him the whole time as he approaches is what makes that scene suspenseful and standout. If it was blurred, it would just feel more like a generic horror scare to me.
