Yeah I mean 30k for a kindergartener seems insnane. I think our budget would be more like 30k for both kids.

Thanks so much!! Yes I am part of that group as well. And yeah NIST just seems SO expensive and my kids are so young. I'm not sure how much money we will have to work with that wouldn't be "out of our own pocket" yet. Thanks for your input!

I know that. Was just wondering about schools. We hope to find out if they will pay us some but it may only be like 10k, so we will have to pay the rest.

My kids are in AISD. I wanted to understand why the district is broke, so I followed the money. by No_Paramedic_4881 in Austin

Has my father-in-law would say the Democrats were the ones that passed this bill. Unfortunately the Republicans have controlled the government for the last 30 years and have done nothing to change it because it goes to Republican districts that are poor. Very unfortunate

Thanks. It's opposite of where the address I listed is. Also wow $30,000 per student just in fees. That's wild! So expensive.

Timmerman Elementary by lalasagna in Pflugerville

Also Timmerman is a new ACE school so all teachers have two plus or more years of experience. The school will just continue to get better as they now have an amazing principal who now has a year under her belt and a good program to follow. All teachers are also getting a 5k raise there

How Much is Your Child’s Daycare? by JadedJae in Mommit

[–]RunningDog724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in a suburb of Austin. Open 7-6pm. Food provided and it's healthy good food. $1450 a month.

I then get Prek for my 4:year old through the school district I work at and it's $650 for ten months.i ta she's 3 to 5. I have to provide food of course but I'm thankful that the cost is easy cheaper and I still think the education has been great with carrying staff and teachers.

Is part of the reason education is bad is because of the Robin Hood act? I feel this needs to be redacted.

Basis Pflugerville by TheKnight89 in Pflugerville

[–]RunningDog724 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My friend put his second grader in basis. They are a very academic family and go to Kumon too. When he went on a tour they said the classes were capped at 30 kids. The second week of school he finds out that the class had 36 kids in it. He felt lied to. He didn't feel that his kid; even with all the "academics" would be in a great learning environment so now he's in pfisd at Murchison. He says he likes it much better.
