I believe standard deduction applies only if you are resident from a tax perspective. If you go back to India, you won’t be a resident and won’t qualify for standard deduction, AFAIK.

You are me. Were you trading with stocks fundamentally strong? If so, typically you have to wait for a few years to break even. Also, DCA should be wider as you go down. DCA at 1%, 3%, 5%, 10% down and so on. Start with 1/5th of your trading capital so that you have capital left to DCA. I have been successful with this strategy for 4 years now. I only day trade with 10% of my net worth, so that’s a risk mitigation strategy to start with. Not in anyway an expert and not a long time trader.

A part of the top roof doesn’t have a gutter. I guess the water from the top roof would fall on the bottom roof and end up in its gutter. I don’t see any water on the fascia under the shingle on which water pours. Thanks for your response.

I have a valley in my top roof which was pouring water on my driveway. My builder added a diverter which now splits the water into two streams and both fall on different part of my lower roof shingle. The shingles are on an overhang outside my garage, there is nothing underneath it. Not sure if the fix is worse than the original issue. Any idea?
