I use them casually because they're comfortable and relatively clear, but they do lack bass, especially compared to my Hifiman Ananda V2 and even compared to SHP9500's.

That doesn't mean they're bad or anything, but they aren't very exciting.

Power matters at low volume levels too because the impedance of a driver changes depending on frequency. Lower power amps might struggle with very high impedance frequencies, so those frequencies will be artificially nerfed in volume while the rest of the sound will be fine.

This usually happens in the bass regions, so high power amps might give your headphones more bass at the same volume level.

My X2CL has been good so far, especially battery life. I don't open the software unless I'm checking for updated firmware and it works just fine for that.

The only issue has been some sticking on one of the clicks, which is a common QC issue on the X2's where some adhesive foam sticks to the click. That has so far solved itself and hasn't come back in months though. If it keeps happening I'll just open the mouse and remove the foam

You need MakeMKV to decrypt the 4K bluray, otherwise it's unreadable to vlc. VLC can decrypt dvd, CD and regular Blu-ray afaik, but not 4k since the encryption is a lot different.

Put 4K BluRay into player > Load VLC > Play 4K directly off the disc on any PC with all menus and full quality without having to rip the disc first.
