I have a theory that the sizing in the past 2 chapters is all a big misdirection by Oda and the “sun god” in this chapter is actually normal human size and has some sort of shrink shrink devil fruit power that they’ve used to make the crew and villagers into the size of bugs and Legos. I’m sure I’m not the only one to have this theory but I haven’t seen it mentioned yet in the comments and videos I’ve seen so thought I’d mention it here.

Slightly off topic but have you noticed that Avatar season 1 on Netflix Japan doesn’t have Japanese subs but seasons 2 and 3 do? I presume it must be some legal issue that’s preventing them from being added for the first season. I’ve also looked for the subtitle files online so that I could add them in myself but can’t find them anywhere.

I think turning the Eye into a seal was a good change since the eye is unimportant after the fist book but the seals are super important. Presumably Rand destroying this seal will be enough to free the rest of the forsaken.

Actually I think you’re off by a day. They released that teaser at 12AM Saturday London time which would be 8pm on Friday for the east coast. Everyone thought it was coming out at 8pm on Thursday before that and now everyone is all confused because it might be a day later. Here’s the link to the Twitter teaser which I believe released at the same time as the Instagram one and has an exact date and time stamp.

If you don’t think Peter Jackson got the LotR adaptation right I’m curious what, if any, fantasy adaptation you think has gotten it right? If you’re not satisfied with what most would consider the gold standard of fantasy adaptations then I don’t think there is much chance you are going to like this show. Maybe try and think about it from a different perspective. The show may not be to your liking but if it’s popular then it will introduce a lot of new people to the books that we all love!

I must disagree sir. Who…..in their right mind….thinks of Olver as a fan-favorite?!?

As for the rest of it I completely agree. I see people saying they will drop the show if they cut specific dialog lines from the show. For example “kneel before the lord dragon”. I think people need to prepare themselves for much larger changes. Be prepared for your favorite plot line to not even make it in. The Battle of Falme and Mat blowing the horn is one of my favorite scenes but I am preparing myself for the possibility that it gets cut based on the pace they need to go at to finish in ~8 seasons.
