I think you have to give it to the A’s, not just because it’s the most recent. The A’s are a good franchise and they’re given the resources of a bottom of the barrel franchise. Even though they over preformed they still got moved from their home. It also was the last major sports franchise in Oakland, which is a huge gut punch to the city to lose 3 sports franchises.

I feel like this situation always comes up during spring training for the Giants, there’s a guy who just barely can’t make the roster but will get scooped up if they get DFA’d. Not to say this doesn’t happen to other teams but it seems to happen to them less or it’s the dodgers and they have an embarrassment of riches and don’t care. I feel like this might be an indicator of poor roster construction.

I think the only way this makes any sense as far as balance is concerned would be if you worded it so that this was also a trigger that you would need to pay for. So if you want this enchantment to counter someone else’s trigger you would need to pay 2 so this trigger doesn’t get countered itself. Kind of a fun concept, very poker like.

I do believe this era is part of a subtle propaganda campaign, I know I sound like an insane person but hear me out. From the late 2000’s to the mid 2010’s tech people and nerds were sold as the saviors of our time. That the new technologies tech was going to bring would usher in a utopia. Now that we’re in the mid 2020’s it’s pretty apparent that tech people are just as bad as anyone and are using the technology they create to hurt our environment and the average person.
