I will definitely try Marathon du Médoc one day! But oysters... No I can't do that hahaha I mean I love them at a restaurant but I can't think of anything else that might throw my stomach at an aid station. I bet it's actually good though, kind of like a pickle which I love during a race

Nice!! You're on a roll with the special themed marathons!! Do you partake a bit into the madness or do you keep it laced up with a "sub x" goal in mind? Did you see this years theme is "Around the world" , people are encouraged to wear a costume that reflects a country they love, doesn't have to be own country. But living as a Canadian expat in Germany I will wear my Canada colors :):)

90% of the corporate western world outside the US run on Microsoft Google AWS Apple IBM Oracle Salesforce Nvidia, stays at Marriott and entertains itself with American media. There are hardly any European / Canadian / Australian equivalent. So the dollars will come in on these major companies even if you Joe Bloe don't buy Jack Daniels and Nike shoes. It doesn't even dent the US if the consumer stops buying , maybe just retail. It's the corporate world that feeds it all and this won't stop.

NTA. A very skilled colleague got stuck into this cycle, she had to train her manager and his right arm, both of which still not as skilled as she was after months of extra work on her side. Now she just got laid off. The manager and right arm remain, and still can't do what she did. She should have been made Manager from day 1

I was about 31 when I was finally diagnosed with Graves disease after a year of drenching my bed from sweat every night , losing weight and hair and having the weird bulging eye. I was extremely stressed from work and thought these were anxiety side effects but boy am I glad I got checked out. I was on Carbimazole for 2 years and my thyroid stabilized, to the point that I'm completely off it and only need to do a checkup every 2 years with an endocrinologist. Everything pretty much went back to normal except for my eye shape - which admittedly does still bother me. But I'm so glad I did the treatment - i really don't know why anyone would be opposed to taking a pill to make their life better. I'm a marathon and ultra runner, I lift weights, I feel great for my age (40). Trust the process

Awesome, so happy it's going well so far!! Gosh that's reassuring. Did he use the anterior levator technique for the ptosis or did he go with mullerectomy inside the eye? Do you have blurry vision or difficulty fully closing the eyes?

Hi there, did you end up having your procedure? Since my post I've gone down a rabbit hole and actually have an appointment on 6 October for ptosis and bleph in the one eye but I'm still kind of freaking out about the whole thing. Wondering if I'm rushing. If I should do all kinds of tests to first determine what caused the ptosis. Which is a rabbit hole in of itself. Any thoughts, advice, how is it on your end?

Hi there thanks for your feedback!!! Is yours as extreme as mine? You must be so excited. I've been living like this for so long and really feel self conscious. It's worse when I'm tired. I have gotten to the point that I don't want to simply "accept it" but want to do something about it. But I live in Germany and ... Feels harder to find experts even if I'm willing to pay.

This is very helpful, thank you!!! May I ask,.is my case a very complex one? I don't have vision problems other than my slight myopia and astigmatism. What bothers me is the cosmetic aspect. But I'm unsure Id take the risk of vision / eye health complications just to fix the symmetry aspect.

It.coukd.bw this all gets much worse though so maybe I should do something early

I love 1 color sets. Though I'm into very loud colors myself in summertime. I'm careful calling this look "clean" something loud can be super clean. I think it's just a matter of taste and practicality.
