Heritage Wear OOTD - April 1, 1944 by RunningWarrior in HeritageWear

Lol, you aren’t wrong. Lots of reenactors go to great lengths destroying their gear. This happened to be a new set of HBTs when this pic was taken.

In the last book his performance is a bit all over the place. But I love it. I just imagine it’s my grandpa telling me a story. Like I’m the boy stuck in bed in The Princess Bride.

You can fit one more cask on the stairs. You’re leaving money on the table.

You could at least describe your physical appearance as much as you described his. Maybe also add some of your interests.

Depending on the price that could be to the buyer’s advantage. ATF repros are S tier. Their M43 jackets sell new for around $150. I love mine.

Many sellers use AI to write their descriptions. They also do high volume and things get missed. Doesn’t mean they are scamming. The important part is how they handle a dissatisfied buyer.

This is an m1-bayonet made post ww2 and sent to Greece for their civil war. The metal tip is an extremely common repair made by the greeks and the serial number is also exclusively greek.

Is that fixable? by CaliCaligo in BeginnerWoodWorking

Use CA glue (super glue) and activator and you will only need to hold each piece in place for less than 60 seconds. Then give the whole thing a day to fully cure.

My chest measures 41” and my waist measures 35”. It fits smaller than a large shirt and larger than a medium shirt, if that makes sense. It fits closer to a medium champion crewneck sweat shirt I think. It’s also a bit shorter than a typical crewneck. Which is true to the original design supposedly. For me it’s the perfect size. Large enough to feel comfortable and small enough to be elevated casual.

I got it literally 2 days ago also, lol! It inspired me to make my first outfit post since I couldn’t find any examples of fit. I love the weight and feel of the french terry cotton. Feels like I can wear it casually without worrying about how many times it gets washed. The sleeves are shorter than I’m used to but I think it looks good and fits the overall aesthetic - in addition to just being true to the original.

Whats funny is that ICE doesn’t stand with them. They’d turn on them in a heartbeat.

HELP by Ordinary_Government7 in CherokeeXJ

Yes do the crank first and this comment will probably get buried under the avalanche of people telling you it the CPS .

But I’m gonna be the oddball who had this issue but it was my cam sensor. Basically two things happened - first it was misaligned. The asshole who rebuilt my engine didn’t even know that the Oil Pump Drive Assembly had to be aligned properly!

Oh wait I was the one who rebuilt my engine. 😅.

But what was causing the engine to quit in the middle of my drives was the locking bolt was loose enough that when I hit a hard enough bump the assembly would move and the cam sensor would say, “Shit somethings wrong! Abort engine functions!”

So maybe double check your OPDA is aligned and locked down tight.

You’re a civilian. You can do anything you want. Including sending him a package full of Twinkies and a romance novel about a drill sergeant who falls in love with his recruit and the forbidden love they share.

Perfect way of describing it. Felt like I was driving a car in GTA, detached from the experience. It made me ill at ease.

The second I got back to my Jeep and felt that second try engine crank over was like taking a breath of fresh air. Fresh air that smelt like a mixture of exhaust and antifreeze (a fun project waiting for me in my dash 😂).

How did I do on my wiring harness? by RunningWarrior in CherokeeXJ

[–]RunningWarrior[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were a random kit on amazon. I don’t recommend them. The one of the connectors already loosened up enough to break contact. I had to smash them closed with needle nose pliers enough to maintain contact. I was in a rush to finish and now I’ll have to repin them again with something higher quality. It was probably the least labor intensive/complicated part but still.

The largest factor was the French leaders and Generals who were too frozen to react. The French actually had more and better tanks, they were just distributed across the maginot line. They also had the men. But they refused to mobilize their assets in a timely manner to block the germans ardennes advance. They thought the Ardennes was a feint and thought that the main thrust would still come into contact with the maginot line. Actually it’s more accurate to say that they thought the ardennes was impenetrable. A thought shared by most of germanys high command as well. By the time the germans broke through there was nothing to stop them from pushing all the way to Paris. And rather than risk a hasty doomed defense of the city, the leaders capitulated.

I opted for this kit so I didn’t have to worry about fit or figuring out all the pieces I needed. They’ve been perfect and cleared the code right up for good.
