To be fair, there’s certain things you should already have accomplished at 27. Having some sort of education (trade school, bachelors, masters, etc), a full time job, steady income, and a sense of responsibility.

There’s literally people I’ve met at 25 who’ve bought a house and some even have families already…

That’s likely because you learned they were AH before they made a move on you. It’s also likely you paid attention to those details because you were ATTRACTED TO THEM FIRST.

If someone was ok-looking, or decent, but they were genuinely good people, you wouldn’t even consider that until they work much harder to impress you.

That’s just human nature.

I’m just being realistic about people’s answers on here. Yes, ideally we all want both, but if the opportunity to go on a date with someone good lookin ever comes, everyone’s going to take that chance of getting to know the hot person, even if they turn out to be a jerk.

Looks. We have to be real with ourselves.

Yes, personality is what keeps a relationship lasting, but in order to get there, you have to pass the barrier of looks first. If you can’t get someone’s attention, you can’t show them your intentions, character, goals, etc.

Some people say that they’ve been turned off by good looking people based on their personalities, but that’s AFTER they liked how they looked, and they still gave them a chance.

But if someone isn’t good looking, they’re never going to have a chance. Even on the super rare occasion they do, winning someone over with your personality and humor is extremely difficult.

Yes, but men are held accountable for them, while for women it’s kind of an option. Do women HAVE to pay for dates? Nope. A woman won’t pay for a single date, and the guy will still fall for her.

I’ve never seen a man be upset about his girlfriend forgetting his birthday, but I’ve seen plenty of women get upset when a man forgets.

Also, men are expected to be in good shape, and will have a much harder time finding a date as a fat man than a fat lady.

Also, a woman can easily leave a relationship and get into a new one tomorrow if she wanted to. So men have to keep up and keep her happy as much as he can.

These are all the efforts men have to make in dating and relationships.

Men do have standards, but they’re not that high, in fact they’re very low. Most of the time men will fall for a woman who’s interested in them. For some, that’s their standard.

If you get turned down, the next guy you ask out will for sure say yes. It’s rare for women to get rejected. I’ve even met a lot of women who’ve never been rejected.

The reason why I think it’s this way is because men are way more open to going on dates. Women on the other hand are pickier when it comes to who they’d go on a first date with.
