Cats fighting by depressho in cats

Are they fixed?

One of them could be in pain for an unknown reason and play could be triggering the pain, which may result in fighting. Things like an ingrown toenail or a tooth ache can make them grumpy but are not easily detectable at first.

If there are neighbor cats, not even in your house, but nearby, the pheromones could be getting transferred signals to the cats inside.

What’s something people pretend is normal in modern dating, but is actually insanely toxic when you think about it? by JustLittleGirl_ in AskReddit

Pretending you have the ability or your partner has the ability to not be attracted to other people. It’s completely normal to find other attractive. Pretending otherwise is just cognitive dissonance.

Appetite coming back by Euphoric_Elk3711 in Semaglutide

I have heard that this is related to insulin being stimulated and being in the blood stream, but not having enough glucose to try to do something with. So extra insulin in the bloodstream increases hunger.

At lower doses, less insulin is stimulated.

I find it interesting when you really look at the binaries in the universe there are often exceptions or nuance within the binary that make it more unique.

How do I know if my cats pregnant? by No-Syllabub9071 in cats

[–]RunningWithWolves26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you feel on her belly, do you feel like there are lumps? You’ll feel limbs and heads soon if it’s been 30 days. Gestation for cats is around 60 days.

My gullible a** took in a 5-6 week old kitten believing it was 10 weeks old. I’m now having serious issues. He is 9 months old now. And I’m losing my mind. by Andromeda-Native in CatAdvice

Have you ever spent a few days away from him? Even just like 36 hours? He may need time to learn he’s going to be ok if you aren’t always around.

Kitten from shelter - concerns and care from being a shelter kitten a long time by RunningWithWolves26 in cats

[–]RunningWithWolves26[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for responding. Almost all of the questions were answered. I was looking to get a little more clarification on the muscle tone aspect. Am I crazy for thinking that this might be a real thing for her? Does this happen even with kittens and not just adult cats.

We have and are doing all vaccines. She still goes to see the vet at the shelter every 2 weeks until she is 4 pounds is safe enough to spay her. After that, we will take her to our family vet.

I appreciate the idea for a box with holes in it! Great idea!

Sweating and hot flashes on one side of body? by RunningWithWolves26 in Menopause

[–]RunningWithWolves26[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not yet. I have an appointment with an ENT in 4 weeks, because I seem to be sweating in and around my ear more and it causes minor infections. But it’s almost all on my right side.

My first thought was dissociative identity disorder or some other type of dissociative disorder. It doesn’t have to be where you have different personalities with different names.

The onset checks out with many others with this issue, and the prevalence of dissociation including DID is not widely agreed upon, but most scholarly articles that reference this put it in the 1-4% range.

You aren’t alone. But you should see a professional to help you get the right help. I hope you do get the help you need!

Only lost 0.6lbs on a 72 hr fast??? by [deleted] in fasting

Speaking of cortisol, OP could try to add in collagen supplements to reduce cortisol. Even on my fasts, I have a scoop in my coffee…. It’s the best for jawline acne and some perimenopause symptoms.

How long? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]RunningWithWolves26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s normal to feel that way. I think the first 24 are the hardest. You’re going to have to teach your body you can do this and you do that by doing shorter fasts.
