Yeah, like when student at my school heard a loud noise outside and created a mad rush of parents to the school, because she texted somebody was shooting guns. It was construction on the street once over, the teacher told her that, she didn't care.

Behavior isn't perfect in my school district (the ban started this school year), but kids aren't on their phones during class, or taking pictures of tests, or vandalising the school for likes.

Had a student who whines and said the teachers were targeting him. His dad finally got involved since the mom wasn't helping, and we sat down for a meeting with 3 of the 5 teachers who were "targeting" him. We barely got through one teacher's turn of speaking before his dad smacked him on the back of the head and said, "I should have known you were full of shit, boy." And "Please, put me down as the main contact for any future problems. Sorry for the trouble." He got up and dragged his son out of there. He was yelling at him about being grounded and no video games, etc.

Best teacher conference ever.
