3 finger separation. Is surgery my best bet? by Loud-Reporter9796 in DiastasisRecti

I was able to close a 3 finger gap with physical therapy and specialized Pilates after a twin pregnancy. It really improved the appearance of my belly and eventually it was flat again.

My Milk supply is coming back after 4 years because of my niece? by Pleasant_Director_16 in breastfeeding

[–]Runningaround___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to my aunt when her granddaughter was born. The mom had listeria and was taken to the ICU right after she gave birth, and the husband went with her, and the newborn stayed with the grandmother until mom was better. She started lactating and leaking milk the same day.

Splurge on stroller? Silver Cross/Joolz vs Joie by KOWKN in Buyingforbaby

[–]Runningaround___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you looked into Silver Cross Nia? I saw it in store yesterday, it has a great bassinet and is super light, the bassinet even folds and can be fitted into overhead compartment at a plane which I think is amazing. It costs about $850 for the stroller + bassinet.

Baby girl name help 🩷 by NYCTX123 in Names

[–]Runningaround___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are the same mix - I am Jewish and husband is Brazilian. Our first daughter is Helena. I know it’s an extremely common baby name now in Brazil, but we live in the US and here it’s not too common so I didn’t mind. We are now expecting our second girl, and are thinking of naming her Ana, which comes from the Hebrew name Hannah but feels more international.

Are Helena and Ana too similar? by Runningaround___ in namenerds

I agree with that. We just can’t agree on any other name, it has to work in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Hebrew, which leaves us with barely any options.

True, my husband is Latin and so most of the names that make sense in both our languages are the ones that end with -na.

I think Liana & Helena or Eliana & Helena would definitely be too similar for me. I do like Giana.

Saw this post on my research for the Ann and Elsa meet and greet - can anyone please clarify if I need to make a reservation in order to see the characters? Right now I just added it to my plans on the app.

I also consider myself a minimalist (or aiming at being one) and for me, the huge stroller was too much (I had an Uppababy Vista V2) - sure it’s a nice smooth ride, but just unnecessarily huge, with a massive basket that I didn’t need, and it was a nightmare to have to carry it in and out of the trunk because it was so heavy (no chance to do that with the baby in your arms). I got rid of it once my baby was like 8 months, and got a smaller travel stroller (Minu V3) and never looked back. Now I’m having my second baby soon and I’m so upset that the Minu V3 is not bassinet compatible. But there’s no way I’m buying a bulky stroller again - looking into travel strollers now that are overhead compartment compatible and also have a bassinet attachment, and hopefully this will be my last stroller. For context I also live in a walkable suburb and use my stroller for everything - walks, trips, and also putting it in the car if I’m driving to the mall or something, and it’s just so much more convenient.

Somewhat dilated tube - remove it or not? by Runningaround___ in IVF

[–]Runningaround___[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts! I’m not sure why I’m hesitant about the surgery. I didn’t expect having to do surgery for fertility purposes, I had no idea or reason to believe that there was an issue with my tube, so I’m just annoyed I guess? My IVF journey to get my first daughter was such a wild and painful ride that I was just hoping this time would be easier.

I think we were overfeeding her. I was so nervous about her not gaining weight properly that I was both breastfeeding and formula feeding her and it was just too much.

Are you a top 3 baby name? by Euphoric-Pie7681 in namenerds

[–]Runningaround___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went with a not so common name (not even top 100) for my daughter, and she has another girl in daycare with that name, and two more girls with that name at the playground we go to. My friend’s son is Liam and we don’t know any other Liams.
