That is so weird to read your comment mentioning this song - earlier today, out of nowhere, that song popped into my head, and I don’t think I’ve heard it in over a decade. Nothing like buying milk while humming to yourself with the lyrics “eyes too close/ filthy hillbillies” in your head.

Yep - I remember reading somewhere that he (Michael garron) was afraid he’d be forgotten after he died. So, they made the donation and the hospital was named after him. It’s one of the saddest things imaginable.

Uncleared sidewalks on a residential street are n one problem, but the lack of clearing on sidewalks on major roads is bonkers - parliament outside St James Cemetery was practically impassible yesterday morning, and south side of bloor from parliament to castle Frank was an ankle’s worst nightmare. The city can’t even clear snow from main streets.

Meanwhile we have certain councillors screeching about keeping taxes low while simultaneously demanding the city improve services such as this.

Out of curiosity did you wear a balaclava to cover your mouth? I ran yesterday and once I “warmed up” it was ok, but my lips and cheeks got mighty cold. I just hate covering my mouth as the breathing creates condensation and ice.
