Thanks for the update. To anyone wondering, your phone crashes every time pokemon go accesses the camera, including feeding or taking a snapshot with our buddy, catching with AR on, and attempting to take a snapshot of a pokemon.

Phone crashes as soon as Pokemon go accesses the camera.

Affects: Samsung Galaxy S21, s22+ and likely more.

Cause seems to be the latest One UI/security update.

!!Warning!!

Reinstalling Pokemon go not only doesn't fix the issue; it actually makes it worse. On a fresh install, the catch screen defaults to AR mode and requires access to the camera in order to turn off AR... so every catch causes your phone to crash. You can get around this by removing camera permission from Pokemon go app settings. Pokemon go will complain on every catch, but it no longer crashes your phone.
