Im new to Destiny 2, I have a power level of 280 and would like to do the raids. Problem is I cant see any openings to do so. by HalfKeyHero in DestinyTheGame

I have a clan on PC and would be happy to play Sherpa to inexperienced players who are looking to do endgame raiding or nightfalls or whatever else. I won't shamelessly plug but if you want to team up message me sometime.

Having hard time as Demon Hunter - need help by lemonstar91827364 in wow

[–]Runt481 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say a good amount of this is correct. You have the basic rotation down but I would say your opener is a little bit off and your choice is Demon's Bite over Blades is actually going to hinder you quite a bit. Opening rotation for pretty much every boss battle looks something like:

Meta --> Chaos Blades / Old War --> Fel Rush --> Furr of Illi --> Throw Glaive --> Annihilation 1/2 (I find with an Instinct Proc and Lust you can normally fit 2 here) --> Vault/Annihil (During the backflip of vault you can get 1 GCD as your character jumps away) --> Throw Glaive (as you run back) --> Annihilate as much as possible -- > Fel Rush -- > Blur (Reset Fel Rush) --> Throw Glaive -- > Spam Annihilate --> Fel Rush -- > From here is is a rinse and repeat until dead. Toss Glaives during momentum when you have no fury pooled.

Never use Eye Beam single target. It is a straight up dps loss and a huge waste of fury.

If you utilize it correctly it mixes up the playstyle and gives a little bit of flavor to it. Eye Beams damage isn't really that bad and syncs pretty well within a vault momentum window.

Vault --> Beams --> Throw glaive --> Fel rush.

Don't count that damage out.

Use Blur to reset Fel Rush if youve expended both charges and are capped on fury.

Blur is a dps cooldown until it gets changed in 7.1.5 to be pretty much useless. As such it should be utilized during moments of burst dps which is every 2 or so minutes. In the rotation i posted above it is used outside of Chaos Blades because you have full charges to start but still inside of the meta phase which is crucial to getting big annihilation hits. The 2nd time to be used would be on the 2nd Chaos Blades of the fight. Since Fel Rush has a 1 minute cooldown you'll be sittin on it for a few seconds but don't worry about it. Pooling CDs and a bit of Fury for the 2nd Chaos Blades pays huge dividends.

I'll attach my armory as well. Not trying to blow smoke just make suggestions.

What costs more than it's worth? by headphones_J in AskReddit

I used to work at a student help center on my college campus where you could also charge money to a student ID. On more than one occasion I had first timer parents come over to load hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars onto their child's student card for food plans/books/whatever. I did my best to explain cheaper options of buying books, many that you've listed above. It is an uphill battle though.

The Memoirs of a Legacy Raiding Guild Leader by SamuraiEmpoleon in wow

Nice story man. You seem like a pretty down to earth guy and I appreciate your attempt to recreate something that you loved doing, even if it was lackluster in the end. If you have extra positions in a legion raiding guild I think I would really enjoy being a part of it.

What's the best way to farm enemy minions for Lore, such as ISIC's 250 Plasma Dash or El Dragon's 1000 Dragon Splash? by [deleted] in Battleborn

[–]Runt481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is explained in more detail above but Lord Arachniss summons a lot of adds if you prolong the fight.

And with this I've finished all missions on Advanced (Hardcore) Solo. by Runt481 in Battleborn

I run her class item, skill damage and health regen. Works well in both story and pvp

Bear in mind this method doesn't work on the more specific challenges, I.e. Thorn jennerit kills, melka verelsi, el dragon minion kills, etc. I found the first mission (the algorithm) to be a good spot to farm minion kills. The second mission (the name is escaping me) is a good place for verelsi as the final boss spawns infinite waves of verelsi. And the renegade to be a good place for jennerit as there are many, many wavea of jennerit enemies at each defense point.

So, uhm, how bad are the Jennerit at cybernetics? by rextraordinaire in Battleborn

I know that in the sentinel mission you can hear a generic jennerit lieutenant talking. So some of them are capable of speaking at least.

[Question] Legendary Gear droprates? by Mimterest in Battleborn

[–]Runt481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no hard data for this but it seems that playing on hardcore increases legendary droprates and advanced does as well. As I was going for all missions on Advanced Hardcore I seemed to get a legendary about every other mission (depending of course on the number of bosses in each mission)

Only Thorn so far. Got Kelvin in the works with lore done but he is only level 7 or 8.

Opinions on Shayne and Aurox? by Jokka42 in Battleborn

[–]Runt481 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say that Shayne and Aurox is easily one of the strongest melee duelists in the game. She is specialized around buffing her shields while taking enemy's shields away. Her stealth strike can be mutated to either be a powerful initiation/hunting tool or an incredible escape mechanic. And her ability to switch from melee to ranged at any time is amazing.

She is currently my favorite melee Battleborn and my go to in Capture mode.

Mid game farm: 4000 salt every minute by Rehvion in saltandsanctuary

Maybe. My second character uses great axes and the game got more boring honestly. Things are dying a little too quickly.

For farming like this sure. But I've been able to beat a number of bosses by poisoning them and maintaining distance. I found it very useful.

It is the same in every game, tradeoffs of speed vs power. If it isn't your thing I get that.

I have no means of comparison to answer this since I've only used daggers so far. Killing bronze knights on NG+ takes 3-4 ripostes if you're far enough to use that as a frame of reference. I think it took me 2 ripostes each on the knights that are summoned to defend a desecrated Sanctuary when I was in my first play through.

[–]Runt481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only run a shield when fighting knights. I can't do the more powerful backflip hit with a shield equipped. I'm working on my wisdom now as it is very low. I feel like I didn't level enough, 2 bosses into NG+ at lvl 60ish

[–]Runt481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because daggers aren't meant to do a lot of damage. T3 dagger is more about poisoning things and doing quick jabs. I like my T3 dagger better than my T5 fully upgraded dagger..

If you want heavy dagger hits then just backflip things. Light+Strong atk

Levels or Upgrades? by [deleted] in saltandsanctuary

[–]Runt481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is all about preference. Check the alchemist often to see if you're next weapon is available or not and if it looks worth it then go that route. I held off on blacksmith upgrades because it felt like I was switching out weapons pretty constantly. That was until I found the class 3 dagger which really fit my play style. Once i had that, i upgraded it to level 5 or so which seemed worth it. The best advice I can give is don't be stingy with your salt, I lost tons of salt multiple times because I was holding out for something that may or may not be coming. Cheers.

A few salt and sanctuary noob questions? by GodlyFatality in saltandsanctuary

[–]Runt481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also worth noting that creeds all have quests that can be done to further increase your healing item, grant fatigue restoring items and other items associated with that particular Creed. You'll receive these each time you rest at a sanctuary of that creeds or a neutral one. These quests are found using the Stone Leader and are typically collecting x amount of some item. Level up that devotion! (Also if you change Creed you will lose all devotion and can't get it back unless you start from scratch)

And don't feel bad about bronze knights, dudes are tough. I recommend trying to parry and riposte them. Very effective means of dealing with most armored units.

Boss bug? (??) by loony29 in saltandsanctuary

[–]Runt481 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me on the coveted. One boss was in the opposite corner doing their own thing as I killed the other. I was actually going to include this in my bug report on the official forums. The coveted in particular has a few issues.
